Accord CL9 New Owner's Thread

Will get my CL9s suspension checked before moving to northern areas. I foresee all these works which youve listed. No problems yet, but I can see minor cracks in rubber bushes which will need replacement in future.

We've reached 900 posts in such a short time and I started the thread thinking that CL9 owners have gone in hibernation. Who would've thought that CL9 would turn out to be this lively.

Yeah no doubt it's been great fun. Just came back from a drive and sadly there's lots of traffic in Karachi - the fun only starts after 100 in CL9.

And there are very few places in Khi where one can do more than that. Some good places include:

1. Lyari Expressway
2. Mai Kolachi Bypass
3. Creek Road (the one that runs parallel to Kh Ittehad)

SX8 was the one that came from 1997 - 2003.

Cars from that era were light in weight. No abs, no airbags, manual windows (in base models), a beautifully weighted clutch and a crisp short-throw manual. In essence those cars captured the real magic of Honda. Yes, SX8 was 1298cc (below the 1300 bar) except for 1.5 NEO which I think was offered between 1997-99 and had a 1.5L engine. Very rare and hard to find. Just like a Suzuki Baleno 1.6 GTi

I was born and grew up in Islamabad. Miss it! Even last week when I was there, the roads were mouth watering - missed the Turbo and CL9 so much!

Yeah don't want to go off topic here, but this was my 2002 manual SX8. It's the car I've driven the most (around 65k kms), loved the most and also have the most memories with. Super light, super fast and great grip.

It started my Honda love which was followed by more legends like Reborn then CL9 then the mighty Turbo.

Thats a clean lookin car. Before my cl9, i had a swift and a baleno 1.6 gti before that. Both are amazing cars. Sometimes its hard to get over your previous car even after your upgrade

Back in 2012 I had a silver Swift as a spare car - I can't remember a day I drove that car with any compassion or respect lol - literally raped it through the high-way redlining the living shit out of that car haha. I must say, it packed a punch (baby-punch), but what I adored the most was the lane-splitting. Drove it maximum 6K and let it go, for a hatch I must say it was fun though I would've preferred a 1.5L (never offered here in Pakistan).
