Accord CL9 New Owner's Thread

CVT maybe a deciding factor but i still vote for CL9.
1. Button light is white in colour. Knobs have 'D' and 'P' illuminated.
2. Bluetooth has a separate app. It plays music as well as receives phone calls. Sound quality over bluetooth is almost same.
3. Running youtube through the system internet explorer. No problems playing music.

2. Yes the bluetooth does indeed has a separate app but when I connect the phone the music isn't playing on the bluetooth app - instead it's playing over the radio app .....- any idea what might be wrong?

Have you tried going to the music tab of the bluetooth app. Our roms may be different. Bluetooth app has a music tab in mine.

Yup tried going in the music tab but the music just wouldn't play over there - it'll show the song being played but the music is being played in the radio app lool - wtf

@viking85 - CVT vs Sequential (far superior) - it was 5-0 in favour of Accord, 5-6 car lengths every race - Civic didn't even come close to the Accord even on a 3 second hit. Absolute destruction by the CL9, felt sad how a brand-new 3million car couldn't even keep up with a 15 year old Accord.

Exactly this is what i was thinking. I havent tried racing the two. But whenever I am back in my Civic 9th gen i feel somethings gone wrong with the acceleration (seems so laggy). Turbo may be a match.

Headunit's MCU controls all the switching between hardware and their related apps. Bluetooth music shouldn't be overlapping with radio. Where did you get it from. Return/replacement an option?

Got it from Chinaland - is it possible that while installation the wiring might've have been incorrectly placed? - possibility of replacement might be considered though that'll be one long road to recovery haha

Especially past 100 is when I guess the CL9 really comes into its own. Feels slightly sluggish to me before 100.

Turbo is more than a match. As I've said before, it seems that after the knock fixing software update the Turbo has lost some ponies, still I'm convinced it'll beat CL9 in a drag. The high RPM thrust of the K24, however, is scarier than Turbo no doubt.

lol no brother Civic never took the lead, it was in the CL9's rear-view mirror throughout - rolled from 20km/hr and the Civic never even came close (5-6 car lengths isn't a joke lol - especially when the car's still pulling strong and the gab's only increasing). I'm curious to find out how would a Turbo fair with the CL9, especially after I've changed the tranny.

• Last time I raced a Oriel was in 2017 December with my friends Lunar Silver X with 1500km on the odometer - I had a bad tranny still I won with just a 1 car gab though lost eventually after 180km/hr, regardless he continuously boasted how he won from a CL9 haha.

• I would've loved to film the action but let's just say I didn't want to promote illegal activities on a public forum (joking I was getting late for gym)

Acha, very impressive. CL9 is too quiet and numb, hence (in my personal experience) less enjoyable than Reborn and Turbo. Maybe that's the reason I discount its capabilities, because no doubt it is fast.

I agree, maybe it's a psychological factor linked with sound which makes it feel slow - on the contrary the Oriel, R18 with CVT only sounds like a screaming lawnmower

I've seen both of these CL9's lol - especially the red one as it used to be owned by someone who lived near my gym, not recommended cars.

I have driven a 1.8 civic and i dont think it will come anywhere close to a cl9. Especially in a rolling start. But cl9 is a little sluggish in first 10 to 20 kmph. So the gap might have been a bit lower in a standing start. A colleague of mine recently bought a 1.5 turbo and he says it has one of the most amazing drives and far superior than the 1.8 veriosn. I might ask him for a test drive this week.
I remember when my elder brother bought a 96 vti. It had an amazing thrust, the kind that pushes you back in the seat. Since then, i have only felt that in two other cars, a 2006 1.8 altis and the cl9. I personally love reborn. The shape is to die for, but when it comes to a drag race, shor ziada machati hai air kaam kum karti hai.

My wife got her first drive of the cl9 on weekend. And now she is asking me to take back the swift and give her the cl9.

I have been trying to set the clock as mentioned in the youtube video. But the time is not getting set. I think i will use desi tareeka and take off the battery for 5 seconds at 1 o clock and that will reset the clock to 1 as well

Last week, suddenly a strange krrr krrrr sound started coming somewhere from the interior of the car. Couldnt find out where it was coming from. Har taraf check kiya. After three days found out that it was my sunglasses in the little compartment near the rear view mirror
