Turbo BGs will also be 2 years old in December, so need to change those out too. Here's the story.
After sitting in a friend's Turbo with brand new UC6 215/50R17 I was sold on the UCs! Unfortunately when I asked around, UC6 had run out in the market. New shipment coming next month but I've gathered that it could be up to 4k per tire more expensive. Last selling price of UC6 was 17.5k per tire - both for 215/50R17 and 215/55R16 (Accord size and Turbo size). MC5 are available but MC6 are out so I won't buy MC5.
Advan dB not easily available in the market as V552 are now out, and only coming smuggled currently. My tire wala quoted 22k! A friend has Michelin Primacy 3 ST in his Turbo and they are rock hard, so no-go.
My tire shop was constantly trying to give me Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance. These are early 2018 made, manufactured in Slovenia (215/55R16 are manufactured in Germany). 15.5k per tire for 215/55R16 and 17.5k for the 215/50R17 that I have bought. You can check out the great online reviews. He showed me the Goodyear a month back and it seemed surprisingly light and soft to the touch. This was confirmed yesterday when I picked up and 215/50 Goodyears felt lighter than 215/45 Yokos. One of my acquaintances in Lahore is associated with Tyre Point and when he told me that he has installed Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance in his Turbo, then I didn't need any further confirmation.
So I've gone for Goodyears as I love to try out new stuff. Turbo tires will be changed soon and I'm waiting for Continentals now.
