Your car must be in transit, May deliveries are mostly in transit. If it is in transit, you will not have to pay increased price.

Try calling suzuki help line at 7:15 am - 7:25 am that's when they really answer the calls.

when tax changes, no hold applies whatsoever. Invoices don't come with cars to unless someone gets within June, increase is inevitable.

I 2022, I booked Alto for Rs. 1,886,000 and after price increase, I didn't have to pay the difference. The car was delivered on 4th August, on 29th July, helpline told me that the car was loaded to a trailer today.

When I received the invoice on 7th August, the print date was 29th. If going by this, the invoice should have been generated on the same day when vehicle is dispatched.

Edit: Tax on Alto for filers was increased to 10,000 from 7,500. I had to pay 2500 tax increase. Car was delivered on 58th day.

So, I got in touch with the helpline today. They told me that the car is "completed" but not "loaded" yet. The rep told me to expect the car to be loaded by the end of the week and to add 3-4 days for the transit. However, when I contacted the dealership and my sales agent, they said that the car hasnt been issued yet. Either the dealership is extremely incompetent or Suzuki Motors is lying.

I also emailed them asking for a compensation and they have emailed back asking for the PBO, which I have sent. I await their reply now. I feel like, as some users have already pointed out, we should brace ourselves for a tax hike on the car. Extremely disappointing experience.

For info, I paid 100 percent in advance on 24th March, 2025 and I was promised the delivery time of 25th May, 2025

Yes, as soon as the car is dispatched an invoice is generated.

"The car hasn't been issued yet" by this they mean that the car isn't dispatched also when the car is dispatched an invoice is generated and Engine and Chasis number is allocated to the car. If your car is dispatched within this week, you will not have to pay increased tax.

I was told by dealership today that all the pending deliveries will be made within this month. Since new orders are not taken since last week, company now prioritizing the first come first serve policy to deliver the cars.

Not sure if they are lying but I saw two more trucks near Sahiwal loaded with Alto, Swift and Every going to Lahore. Fingers crossed

The booking is suspended till finalisation of Budget. The company doesn't care about the customers as someone suggested about clearing the backlog.
Any vehicle dispatched on 01 July 25 will be charged with new rates whether the delivery was in May or June.

Either way, tax will be increased by some percentage. They just proposed this.

Hopefully for real this time. Even if dispatched on 29th June, the invoice will be of June, and no additional tax would have to be paid.

Apparently they are trying to clear Alto because Alto might get the biggest jump in the price. This is just my assumption though.
