Sorry I have never heard of Indica.
The Revo on the other hand is very reliable and more solid car than Mehran, or Maruti 800.
There are many people that own this car now, and just yesterday, one of our Pakwheels brother, camel123.. (yeah thats a cool name)....
has received his Revo.
The experience of Revo....in his own words.
"We got our Revo 800cc (standard) yesterday. We also have a Baleno GliP 2002, Khyber GA 1995, and Kia Classic 2005 in the house/family.
I have tried to present a fair and balanced view of what I have been able to make out about the Revo since yesterday afternoon.
Physical Analysis:
I was pleasantly surprized with the material quality of parts especially rubber/plastic parts. The interior is made to a grey/black theme. The steering wheel, though very solid plastic, feels rather cheap to the touch.
The body sheet metal appears to be of a significantly greater thickness than other comparable cars in its class.
The engine bay is neat and well laid out.
I am 6ft2.5in and was able to sit very comfortably in the front as well as rear seats, without my head touching the roof at any time and without my knees crouched up to my chin (which is ALWAYS the case when i have to sit in a mehran). The factory-fitted seat covers are of a raxene type material and feel rather cheap; we intend to get good cotton seat covers stitched over these.
The steering wheel height/angle is not adjustable and this is a feature AMC might want to consider adding to future models.
The usable trunk space is a lot more than I had expected.
The doors need to be closed firmly otherwise they have a tendency to remain "half-locked".
Drive and Ride Analysis:
Since my little brother (24 year old) was driving and I was sitting in the back seat, I did not get a chance to drive the car myself so far. According to my brother, the steering and brakes were very responsive. The acceleration though satisfactory for normal city driving, was not exciting.
However, the ride was extremely smooth and balanced; no sharp bumps were felt as we negotiated the great potholes and speed-breakers in Johar Town. A few times, there was a little minor (but noticable) vibration/resonance I felt deep inside my bottom at some engine revs though. All in all I, would easily place the ride quality in the class of Santro/Khyber/Cultus. The cabin is very quiet; there were no rattling body noises, nor irritating outside noises (e.g. ricksha sounds) penetrating inside.
The head lamps are extremely well positioned and provided a very clear view of the road ahead without the need to switch on full/high beam at any time. The rear view and wing-mirrors are also well positioned and provide a clear view. My brother particularly appreciated the confident driving position
The speedometer, temperature guage, interior and exterior lights, wipers, vent/fan and horn were all functioning correctly. The indicator lever is mounted on the left side of the steering column and is something that takes a little getting used to when one first drives the Revo. "
