all 4age are 1.6l engines with minor weight difference if 20v is installed with firewall centre adjusted few inches back .( technical main - club4ag), BT distributor is recomended with BT for better responce so it has to go into firewall..
A few more points to consider:
I m using suspension slightly more on springs : setting 0 to 32 its on 10 in front and 5 at rear. for more bounce on bumps.
stiffer settings at rear makes it easier to tail out especially for dry circuit track drifting.
less stiff adds more body sideways roll so both rear tires can grip better comparatively for street use.
with front at zero camber in front, i set the height frt and back equal.
when i set negative camber in frt almost half way on setting, front tires have wider wheel base than rear and car drops from front. thus readusting (lowering) rear height is required to reduce oversteer.
the settings vary from circuit to circuit use, standard settings do not apply to all.
intialiating a pre-drift.
car needs to be aligned on drift path before downshifting, before entering the downhill apex, i do not recomend to downshift a 2-way lsd at high speed from my experience, because yr still in process to enter apex and you will trigger the drift at wrong time. by doing so you will excute a drift in opposite direction even with countersteer because car is at speed, it cant stop quick.
the drift itself is steering the car so its a big mistake steering from rear when pre entering apex.
when you ready to excute drift (yr at correct location on corner entry), you downshift to trigger the drift and start counter steering
how much countersteer comes from practise - (a 3 hour session everyday on circuit) we dont have it in pakistan:(.. we rather play cricket whole day or gossip
Accelerate to balance the drift.
pulling yr foot up from accelerator (deaccelerate) will reduce rear tire speed and car will continue a huge oversteer.
the balance to better drift on corner comes from acceleration and countersteer (matching rear ties speed to car and increasing gently,, ..- turbo engine is a no no here).. as the exit speed with balance is impt.
Not wise to learn drifting on muree highway,. no way!!! car needs to in open with grass on both sides of track to compensate for errors.
