Guys I have a problem with my car since i converted it on CNG 7 months back.Its air filter keep on burning due to back firing I guess.The last one lasted only 4 days.Experts plz help me out on this.

plz check its air setting. Also put a little amount of mobile oil in Petrol Tank. Hope it will solve the problem.

It is happening due to improper adjustment of gas mixture, get it adjusted by a goog cng mechanic.

@faisal My car runs on CNG will adding oil to the petrol tank help?

@argtr65 I went to the person who put CNG into it he told me to get the plugs replaced.Now he tells me to get the coils changed but this time I wont listen to him bcoz I think he is acting on his whims

i had the same problem on ma platz, and to be honest i think i still have the same problem. why ? because it only happened to ma car in summers when the AC was on. there was no problem of backfiring or the spark plug gap adjustment, still it kept on doin so. i have even posted the pics of ma filter in the topic i made for the exact same issue. search and u wud find it. still, if u have found a cure to it , wud u please like to share

@Waleed80,

If it is happened only when A/C on,it means ur a/c is drawing excessive current causing voltage drop in ignition system causing for back fire, this is happened due to some loose electrical connection or defective relay.Try to trace out the problem with the help of any expert auto electrician.

@waleed80 After trying everything the air filter keeps on burning
however 4 days ago on the advice of another mechanic I replaced the plugs with new bosch 4 point plugs (I got those 3 months back) and up to now it is working fine.I've got my fingers crossed but have a feeling it will happen again.
