spitfire ! how was ur experience about driving on such slippery roads ? once i went there in murree while snowfall is there , we came back next day. aur toba ki keh next time itny snowfall main nahe jana because so muck risk was there .what about ur experience? on such a lovely L/C ? and spitfire bhai ,where did u stay ?in whci hotel ?

well,its a little tricky and risky driving on these type of slippery surfaces...cars specially front wheel drive are more difficult to drive on climbs.four wheel drive vehicles are more suitable.Any aggressive movement should be avoided like sudden braking/sharp steering movement and quick acceleration.One thing which I experienced in this trip is that if you have a good 4wd vehicle with differential lock,you can handle the situation very well,,BUT MAIN PROBLEM IS that slipping cars surrounding you can hit you badly because there is no steering or braking effect neither acceleration once they start slipping.......

First of all thank you so much dear for kind words...
driving on snow is always risky and tricky but a 4WD vehicle can handle the situation in a better way...much better that a car.traction of two wheels is not enough to keep cars on the track specially when there is a rain after snow fall because a very lubricating paste of ice/water and mud is formed on the road in presence of which traction of two wheels is not enough.situation is improved if you can get hold of some snow chains on the wheels.
Driving this LC was so easy on those slippery surfaces.probably because of its weight,it was very stable.Only at 2/3 occasions I felt that ABS came into action and it was very much under control...Used differential lock and low range 2/3 times on extreme slopes.earlier models of LC (12 valves) had electronic differential lock switch on the dash but this model (24 valve) does not have a separate switch.when you select low range,differential lock is automatically engaged and ABS is disabled.
A lot of torque is there at low rpm (1500 to 2000)from mighty 4.2 liter six cylinder turbo charged engine and you do not need to rev the engine even at extreme conditions...when you come in low range,its so powerful that you have to press brakes quite hard to prevent it from moving...
Over all a very nice experience driving this LC in extreme snow and slippery conditions..
We stayed at hotel Elite.when you pass Nathia Gali Bazar,it comes on your left.nice and comfortable place to stay in N.gali..

Thanks dear,Thank you so much for your appreciation.Its REALLY very hard to get hold of this model in good condition.I kept on searching for about 6 months...but could not find a good example.There are two categories of these vehicles.
(1) 95,96.97 models (multivalve engines) which came in the same years(regular imports)and are on Pakistani Roads for about 13/14 years,are very high millage and in bad shape which are for sale.Good/low millage /well kept example are not for sale...
(2)96,97 models which were imported to Pakistan in 2005/06 (because after that rule of only 3 years old cars came into action).I feel that these vehicles were imported in small numbers because of old model...
These Vehicles are 3/4/5 hundred thousands more expensive (depending upon condition and port from which it was imported ...Japan Or Dubai).
This is the whole research I did in this respect.
This particular vehicle is 97(last model in this shape) imported in 2006 from japan.
Price, not disclosed yet ..please guess :).
