Not a V2 fan here but what exactly do you mean 'too plastic'? Plastic IS plastic, nearly all cars today use that as a standard for making interior panels. The other category is called elastic. Would you rather have dashboard made out of rubber or jelly?? LOL
The thing is, I found V2's interior quality more or less the same as the outgoing model of Cultus i.e Euro II. In some places it was even better quality. But considering that the V2 offers many more features, peformance and comfort in a lower price range and the fact that Pak-Suzuki started using locally manufactured parts in Cultus decades ago makes V2 a much better choice. Consider this, when you go to purchase any product in market, you get two options, The lowest grade is usually locally made on or either you can buy a slightly better quality 1st copy china product. And the trend is age old that people always go for 1st copy chinese product. Therefore it nullifies the claim that V2 is cheap, unreliable chinese car when the Cultus is no better since it uses lowest grade locally manufactured parts.
The thing that remains is that our 'innocent' and 'naive' but wealthy car buyers are all too brainwashed by the brand culture. They will prefer the Japanese brand name even if it means opting for lower quality at higher price because that gentlemen is the spirit of the Pakistani car buyer. When people opt for imported car, they are actually part of a rebellion against the mafia of these greedy and manipulative trio of Japanese car makers. And yeah I hope one day nearly every car on the street is Japanese made because I rather have them benefit from my hard-earned money since they have been much more sincere and hardworking at their role rather than our local incompetent paindoo car makers! I really wish they go bankrupt one day and would have to pullout from the country just so that the Government and the awaam realize the true extent of their ignorance.
