You are right safety is unfortunately still something ignored by most consumers. Unfortunately, the bulk of consumer while buying a new car are only thinking about resale and nothing else. Nevertheless, with growing awareness some consumers are gradually becoming aware of safety features and these types of consumers prefer JDM's over local suzuki's.
Safety should be given top priority. Its unfortunate that even in 2017 the government of Pakistan still has not enforced automotive safety standards.
One thing that has really disappointed me is the lack of Automatic Transmission in the car. with current traffic situation is most of urban Pakistan, Auto is a very suitable option. If you guys have noticed the REAR WIPER and washer has been removed in the Paksuzuki version 
just like in Swift.
