Keep pedal gently up to 2000-2200rmp, when it reaches your desired speed, keep down rmp to 1800-2000rmp

I think the average will get better once we run the car on highways on speed of 120 km/h or + continuously for sometime
I am using within city limits under normal traffic conditions and getting 9.1 or 9.2 max

I traveled from lahore to Islamabad @ 110 kmh avg is around 12 but when I increased speed to 120 plus avg goes down to 10.Avg is good below 110 km/h around 12.

My Brv is giving me 10 Km/Litre in City and 11 Km/Litre on motorways.
However when I traveled on GT road from Lahore to Multan and kept speed between 80-100 the average was around 15 Km/Litre. But I usually travel on Motorways at 120-130 Kmph hence the average calculated at that speed is 10-11 Km/litre on long routes till now.
My Brv is only 4300 Km driven at the moment, Lets hope that its average improves after the first oil change.
I am not impressed with the after sales service of Honda rather I am very dissapointed.
Kindly share your experiences of your first and second free services at your Honda dealers.
PIck and power is good, no issues while going to Murree with full 7 persons.

Got my Brv's 2nd inspection and oil changed from Honda Point at 4320 Km on odo.
Wheel aligned and rotated.
ECU refreshed and fresh learning of ECU.
Will update about the mileage if improved after all these changes.
Difference in drive felt as previously RPM was high & now after the update its at 700 without ac and 900 with ac switched on.

ECU refresh is a standard procedure at 5000 or was it done on you complaint about low mileage?

I requested them to check & update as mileage of 10 Km/Liter is not acceptable at all.
Now as the ECU has been refreshed, Will update the average fuel consumption after using one fuel tank.
There is a difference in drive as the RPM has been adjusted, previously it was on the higher side.

Nice calculation... But needs some corrections.... The one u r calculating is not power to weight ratio, it is weight to engine volume. The value that tells us about vehicles performance is weight to power ratio. So in your calculations you calculated the laden weight of the vehicles correctly but used cc instead of engine power to divide the weight.
For BRV: 1730Kgs/88kiloWatts = 19.66 Kgs/kiloWatts

For Gli: 1650Kgs/84kiloWatts = 19.64 Kgs/kiloWatts

So the Gli marginally wins by 0.02 cuz in weight to power ratio, lower one is the winner.... But one must also consider that BRV carries load of 7 ppl... So BRV is at advantage here in loading capacity

Thanks for your correction as Engine power of BR-V in HP is 117 @ 6600RPM and of GLI is 84 hp @ 6000RPM so =1730/117=14.8 kg/hp for BR-V and =1650/84=19.64 kg/hp for GLI
