why alloy r more preferble then simple rims? Is it only for beauty of else?
All new rims are just for look
light rims are totally diifferent all other rims are not light and are heavier than the steel rim
Alloy rims can be used as light weight rims.
BUT this matter if u are into a Close DRAG RACE or For better looks.

Normal Steel rims are Best economically. tyres are also cheap as comapred to low profiles

boss low profile rims gives you better fuel economy ... plus road grip but suspension kee to waaat lag jati hai
real alloys are better than any steel wheel. problem is that everyone either fots rims which are too large for their cars or they fit cheap heavy alloys which are made in china.
there is no application where a steel wheel is better than a real light alloy wheel.
Alloy rims are mostly made like to pass more air so as to keep the disk and brakes cool for better braking. I cant find the thread where this point was very nicely explained by some fellow member.
They are lighter than the usual steel rims so better economy. They can't bend like steel rims. More reliable and strong
But why my Nissan SunnySupersaloon had 16'' stock alloys?
It was designed to perform :S
If one can afford quality alloy rims then he should go for them, getting cheap china for 10K - 15K is useless, then better stick to the stock steel ones.
