These are not available now. Out of production unless someone has new old stock. And since these were their signature series, I doubt it's gonna cost 28k now

Just because they're listed on pioneers website doesn't mean they are in production. Like I said, new old stock. Items listed are still in inventory. They're just not being produced anymore

Regardless, the 6902R were not part of the discussion here. They are great speakers though and recommended if found but will cross the price bracket the other 6x9s in question fall into

yes it does not matter whether in production or not, availibility is all an end customer needs! and a better option in benefit of user wont hurt anyone as well

a realistic offer will help the buyer even more since the availability of the 6902r's is almost nil. Used and abused pairs are being sold for over 20k. Someones asking 18k for a repaired speaker. Thats not exactly benefiting the buyer if he has a cost cap and has better or similar alternatives

Really good buy the nakamichi. Installed these with some nakamichi 1721 comps in the front and a nakamichi 60.4 amp in a friend's brand new corolla grande. The midbass drastically increased and the vocals were much more clear. The 6x9s do a really good job in the back to balance out the front comps. There's no sub so the midbass is really impressive

hey man, I'm using pioneer d1720c and 7150f at the back. the 7150f lies in the middle of 6975v3 and v2. not sure if theres any need for an upgrade. but i was thinking of 6902r, let me know if theres any upgrade needed, if so what speakers should i upgrade to? 20-30k range for 6*9/7*10s preference will be SQL. since i have 2 subwoofers but also listen to music with them off.

also willing to upgrade my amp. was getting a soundstream tra680.4 which is 100rms/channel and not sure how to connect the d1720c without frying them out. should i connect them in series with 8ohms load or not use the amp for them at all?
using 2 307d4s down to 1 ohms@700rms. considering I'll be upgrading them too with an SQL/SPL sub

Running the d6902r in the back will have the upper hand mainly due to the matching tweeters identical to the front comps you are running. The tweeters used on the D series and F series are different so matching them will give a better balanced music environment

Saw a pair of 6902r's for sale used for 28k. Just make sure you don't end up buying fakes becauses there's ton's of them in the market. Watch for the usual indicators discussed here from time to time

Mind if i ask what amp is powering your 2 subs? I assume you also have a separate amp for the speakers? The SS 680.4 is a good amp. How much are you being asked to pay for that? And 307s are by no means SQL subs. Those are pure SPL. If you are going for a SQL setup, might wanna look into some upgrades

D1720 and 6902r has good matching.

6902r is so flat that sometime its felt that there is nothing on the rear shelf.

just need to feed them with matching capable amp. Pioneer 4 channel amp can be sufficient to achieve good enough SQ with cut off applied from HU.

6975v3 has a difference sound signature. again it depends upon ur music taste to choose the correct gear to please ur ears.
