Did the Fly wheel break and then you got claim
Or you simply said them that it is knocking and they diagnosed it and gave you the claim of the flywheel
I want to know what was the process and as i myself get that knocking issue

I purchased my Alsvin Lumiere Black edition on 3rd August 2024, so far so good, will share my experiences with fellow pakwheelers as time passes. Let's hope that this is a good purchase and serve its purpose as a mode of transportation.

Got first free sevice on 24 August 2024 from Changan Dealership.
Free service included Cleaning of Air & AC filter, tightening of nut bolts etc. No other activity carried out. I was informed that Engine oil & fuel filter will be replaced on second service at 5000 km.
So far so good.

My car is now almost 1500 KMs driven within Lahore. Getting around 14 KMPL where car is mostly used on ring road & within DHA and Gulberg. Although the meter is showing 6.5 L/100KM (15.4 KMPL) but manual calculation after filling the tank comes to 14 KMPL. Will also update the average on long route later.
So far so good.

Assalam O Alaikum,

My car is now 2900 Kms driven, getting same average of about 14 kmpl. Tried hi octane but there was no difference in drive or fuel average. Suggestion to new Alsvin buyers would be to get their car tyres changed on day one so that you can get a good amount for your tyres. Once those tyres are used for a few thousand kms then they are not worth a good resale amount. These company installed tyres makes you feel even the smallest piece on road. I have also tried 30 psi to check if 32 is uncomfortable but no difference.
Company installed speakers are also of average quality and if one is not worried about warranty then he/she should get them updated as well.
Till now no squeaks in dashboard or anywhere else in car. Have a nice day.

Assalam O Alaikum,

2nd service done at 5000km from Changan Service Center. Engine oil and fuel filter changed (Paid for the engine oil and fuel filter), oil filter to be changed at 10000km and then every 10000km onwards. Nut bolts were checked and thats all you can get in a free service.
Car if going good Masha Allah, average still around 14kmpl. Nothing else to report. Will update on next service i.e 10k. Have a nice day and enjoy your Alsvins.

could you please let us know what tyre profile did you upgrade to and the brand? The OEM size is 185/55/R15 which is not available in the market

Aoa, i'll try to answer in order of events:
1. The car displayed subtle visual vibrations, but it was noticeable to any experienced driver who keeps an eye on the behaviour of his/her car/vehicle.
2. When I went for my routine checkup, I got hold of the quality inspector and showed him what I was experiencing.
3. The complain was confirmed after inspection and then they started the documentation (video + chassis numbers etc).
4. After filing of the claim it is a good habit to followup.

Note and Tip: I always discuss car's technical matters with engineers and experts there whenever I get the chance and that in return teaches me a lot. keep a good followup and always be courteous with them, things will always work in your favour.

Great to hear, try using the odometer's trip calculator always reset to zero upon filling and that will give you the best calculations.

Aoa, which city are you from or which city are you planning to purchase it. For me I always choose the best and biggest one, no matter how far it is from my home or workplace. Since i am in Lahore therefore i choose the Changan City Sales, Kalma Chowk.

Regarding Fuel: Hi-octane doesn't improve your car's performance, it keeps it from degrading. Since i have used hi-octane for 35000 kms on my alsvin and regular on my other car for 50000 kms i can safely say that the enjine, plugs, fuel filter and oil all behave well and last long with hi-octane.

Regarding Tires: I haven't been able to find the tires i like therefore holding back at the moment, recently i drove 800 kms in one day on my car and noticed that the handeling with weight in the car was terrible due to the skimpy tires, please do share which tires you choose.

Dear @ayyaznabimirza i have a suggestion on this that could benefit you. I recently got the tires changed on my other car to get millimeters in clearance. Here's a tip for you: so the oem size you mentioned is broken down this way:
185 (Surface Size) / 55 (Side Profile) / R15 (Rim Size)

You should change or increase the surface size which is 185. Do not and i repeat do not increase the Side profile or the Rim size without calibrating the speedometer and trip meters. You may ask why: here is a self trick to conduct - take two ball bearings (or discs which can spin from the center) of different sizes and put a visible mark like a dash or a plus on them which you can see while they are revolving. notice that even at the same speed, the number of rotations on both are different. Your car's RPM, Speed and Trip are calibrated to the OEM Size. Surface Size doesn't matter here. the side profile and Rim Size do. Therefore, if you want to be accurately measured by your car's meters or the speed gun on motorways calibrate. otherwise you might be given a challan for going 125 on motorway and the challan would be of a speed of 130 - in some cases.

Hey man sorry to ask you this but I need to make a decision by Saturday at the earliest between an alsvin lumiere and a gli cvt 1.3 yaris I just wanted some answers;

Resale value?
All of us know Toyotas are revered in Pakistan and have gr8 resale value but where does the alsvin stand in this matter.

Maintenance and spare parts?
What's the average maintenance cost and is it easy to have it repaired by someone as compared to a Toyota which every small mechanic knows his way around, also how expensive are alsvins spare parts such as headlights taillights and bumpers as well as engine and mechanical parts compared to a yaris.

Fuel efficiency?

Also what would be ur choice between these 2 cars and why?

Also for context I live in Islamabad.
