Should have gone for 215/55 R16, or kept the oem size. You have chosen a wrong size. You will face 1km/l fuel economy difference within city or highways.

Regarding 215,
This corolla shape originally came out in 2015 with 195/65/15.
Over the years they have changed the headlights and bumpers but the rest of the car is essentially the same.
In FL they went from 195/65/15 to 205/55/16 (which is smaller than the original 195/65/15 in overall diameter).
Going another size wide to 215 would be the Max limit for this rim and I really don't need the extra width for any reason. Its just added stress on the engine, suspension and brakes IMO.
I feel its better to stay in the reccomended 195 - 205 range which is more than enough for this car.
Also, Toyota does not recommend 215/55/16 either. After 205/55/16 their next optional size is actually 215/45/17.

Regarding FE,
In the city with slow traffic, red lights and speeds up to 40 km/h the FE is down by about 0.5 km/l. Have also noticed slightly slower acceleration (negligible) but only up to this 40 km/h, 2nd gear range.
Beyond this speed, FE and acceleration are same as before in the city and on highways. So yes, slightly down in FE in the city and on slower speeds only but not by much.
However, the added cushion of the higher profile has increased the ride comfort to a new level. The Bluearth GT tyres also weigh less than the A460 and have a better FE rating.

I can tell from your trip.
My upper half tank lasts 300-350kms within city if I fill up tank on auto. 400-450kms on motorway at 120km/h cruise.

The 'trip B' meter wasn't reset at refuel. Its not related to the fuel gauge.
I'm getting around 11 km/l in the city overall.

I am highly concern about road grip . So kindly tell after installing 205 / 60 / R16 hows the road grip if compare with stock . Any one with 215 / 55 / R16 can tell hows the road grip improvement

Road grip has improved alot. On dry and especially on wet roads.
