I have recently bought a 2012 Altis. It’s 1600 cc with manual transmission. Drove the vehicle in the city and on high way. In city, the odo showed mileage of 10km/litre whereas mileage on highway during 100km was 17.5km/litre.
I took the car to workshop for routine maintenance. I always replace fuel filters of all second hand cars that I buy. The filter was very dirty. The car had driven 120,000km on that filter. Got it replaced. Also installed new iridium plugs. Changed gear oil as well.
Hoping to get better mileage from the vehicle after this maintenance.
