Like u said as far the head unit, options r open to change it but for the time being the Chinese one is serving the purpose and specially it matches with the interior. The sound as I listen to fm radio most of the time so there's hardly much difference in quality.

There is no doubt that the wooden steering look very beautiful then the stock steering. If you want to reinstall your old player or want to have the new player then i will help you in this regards to keep your controls working.

I got the steering from Hamza Younas autos. He keeps Toyota genuine Parts in Rawalpindi for all toyotas. Got all the parts from him. As far the air bag is concerned that is not much of a problem if handled carefully.

By the way the person who installed my steering told me that I would be requiring additional part which costs around 9000/- to make my kenwood compatible with this steering. Model no of my kenwood is 7039. Can u tell if I really needed a device or my fitter had no clue to fit kenwood with this steering.

No i didnt change steering........ Only add controls in stock steering... But mr. salash change the whole steering with the wooden finish.

"Audio Interface" costs more; I think they are PIC based thing and designed to be generic i-e to work with all audio controls and all audio systems. They remember mappings; pressing X button send Y signal etc. Therefore they are expensive. If you know the values; you can do this cheap way! But get it done from someone who knows what he is doing and how to do it....

He said there r new models in kenwood which do not need any device and my model does not support it , and you have purchased the latest model of Sony where as my player is around a 2 years old model. Newer models I suppose have bult in support system for audio controls.

You are 100% right... this interface have the information that which audio control need which value. But spending 9000 rs on such device is really a question mark.

9000 for interface

Rizwan Bh; today I have got the DSLR; will need few days to go through its initial learning curve...mean time Insha-Allah steering reel will be with me as well. We can shoot this DIY!

Labor work done by myself..... Modification in steering control is my research and done by my own hands and its cost only 1200 rs for parts. After modification in controls these controls are able to work with any aftermarket player like, Sony, Kenwood, Pioneer, Alpine etc. and it can be also modify for OEM & Chinese players. Now you are free to choose your music system. :P:P:P:P
