I face the same problem in my GLi, most of the time it shows zero. and plus the average speed remains 12/13 KMs, i drive slow but not that slow

I plan to confront the toyota walas the next time i pay them a visit for routine service

i know its annoying when yaa paid soo much for a breand new car and its a crap1 and on top u cant even complain 2 any1 as no1 really gives a damn! i experienced same issue also!

You have to press the button on the speedo to alternate between range/average speed etc.

Reset the average speed, its low because you probably do some running in stop and go traffic or the engine is kept running with the car at a standstill.

Other than the Range i've found all the other information to be pretty accurate, the fuel economy has a 5% variation which is there even on german cars.

On Topgear they were testing a car i think it was audi disel it was showing RANGE as 0Km but still they were able to drive it for 50 km before it came to still stand so errors can occur ......i just came from my first long drive and meter showed petrol consumption pretty much close to what i got by calculating in manual way....however if this error isoccuring all the time then thats another problem...........
