Good bro, its normal. Alto's temperature gauge needle is not that accurate, just will give you an idea. FYI, Most cars thermostate opens at over 80'C, and fan starts above 90'C, just imagine that. As far as your engine is around 90 degrees, that completely normal. Overheated engines hit above 100 degrees.
Use caltex or aisin coolant.

So after driving it around 60 kms.
My rough estimate is its fuel economy has increased almost 2.5 times.
Like the same distance that i used to travel in 2500rs ,it may have covered it in 700rupees i guess.
I m talking about petrol. mashAllah

i installed a genuine thermo switch in it. But fan on automatic kicks in at 65% on the temperature gauge. When the fan turns on the gauge comes down in the middle in 10 seconds i guess.Then fan turns off after a while n then the gauge rises a little to 65% of temperature gauge. This is when the car is still. Is it normal?

I have kept alto vxr sj410 that i bought brand new back in 2005. If you are talking about the temp needle then my alto temp needle never crossed the centre mark.

Its a very slight increase.
Plus senior pak wheelers agree that it can vary a little.
Its a 12 year old car. There may a slight delay or they may b a slight delay in the temperature needle.

Do you have a thermogun to see the temperature near the coolant sensor, im wondering if that coolant sensor is bad and causing the needle to show a bit more, or the wrong kind of coolant sensor has been installed or someone has done something with the gauge in the panel.

Your gauge is acting very sensitive, suzuki and infact all japanese car gauges are very buffered and dont show such small increments unless the gauge is faulty or the wrong sensor was installed.

These thermoswitch which activate auto fan get bad very often in these Suzuki cars. Also the coolant sensor genuine part of suzuki is good all after market tama, ntc etc are not good they show different gauge readings.

How do we check radiator coolant level early morning when engine is cold?
Do we check the reservoir bottle level?
Or do we have to open the cap n see inside the radiator?
I had a cultus in past n i used to open the cap, 100ml used to less n i would top it up.
Then that water would go eventually into reservoir bottle.
Now same is happening with this.
When i open the cap i could see the coolant in the pipe, but not topped up. So i add 30 40 ml.
After the drive i notice that coolant is gone into reservoir bottle.

The coolant sensor is identical to what was previously installed in my car.
The previous sensor used to start the fan around 75% of temperature gauge. I did consulted you.
This switch is identical but it does start a little earlier than that switch but there is a slight rise in needle.
N i had this phenomenon on my old cultus too.

When i open the cap i could see the coolant in the pipe,

It is fine.... this is where it should be...

And only see by opening the radiator cap for few days after confirming that there is no coolant reduction you can only see from reservoir bottle.... and even when you find out that there is no reduction there is need to check coolant level...

its normal for the coolant to go into the reservoir bottle with a hot engine, its basic physics - the coolant expands when it gets hot and the cap allows the system to purge above 13 psi pressure - it will suck that coolant back when it cools down. The little hat in the radiator cap does this job..

Leave it be! a normal running system will have hard radiator hoses with hot engine and expansion tank would be filled above normal level which you left it with. The system will take about 2 cycles to stabilise, then you wont need to perform radiator pani zyaratt every day.

however to make this system work perfectly the expansion tank hose should be tight fitting on the radiator cap housing itself and also on the tank cap all the way into the tank where its dipped. Any loose hose here will cause the system to suck air as air is lighter than liquid (same principle like drinking with a holed straw)

Then i think i need a new radiator cap and new reservoir tank as well.
What happened during my last drive was that before driving i opened the radiator cap. Some 50 60ml was less. I topped it up from the reservoir tank.
But i think i didn't tighten the reservoir tank cap properly. This is my guess.
Drove the car a while. Parked it.
After several hours When i went to drive again n checked the reservoir tank was almost full. Around 400ml came out of the radiator but didn't go back in. Am i right?

What you described is normal. Just make sure there is no leakage, not loose radiator cap and reservoir cap. Don't overfill reservoir bottle.

You need to check the piping from radiator to reservoir tank cap and also from reservoir tank cap to the coolant inside the bottle.... check next time if all is ok, when you have not left the reservoir tank cap open...

If it still happens then change to radiator cap...
