so i got to know that its in islamabad post office but i never got any letter from customs nor the tracking says anything about custom stuff

You only get a letter if it has been detained by customs. Normally they just process parcels and send them on their way, the duty if any is collected by the postman when he delivers to your doorstep. Usually custom check does show up on tracking status but sometimes it does not.

Since your package has been sitting in your city for several days, it is very likely that it is in customs. You can visit your post office and ask them about it.

so i just called pakistan post and they said that my package has been in islamabad since 2 weeks and after i gave them all my info ,they said that they had processed a complain regarding this package under my name and it will be delivered asap.

so i just got a letter from the customs saying that it has been detained etc. WHAT TO DO NOW?.i also contacted jshak and he told me to go to the customs and negotiate blah blah and that it could have been detained since it includes an invoice which means its not a gift.

Oh yar. Simply go and claim your stuff. Get it checked in ur presence and then assesed and ask for discount and pay and get it released after ok certificate made. Get it made samney. I got it after 4 hrs struggle and got the item home with me.
Get it done. And above all relax. It's not something shocking. We were anticipating it right? So go ahead. Get it released and enjoy your gaming experience.

it might include invoice, jshak told me there is no tax in gifts. but this wasnt marked as gift

also can you let me know what documents i have to take along with me and what type of questions will they? plus there is one problem , the name on the package is written wrong. My name is "insha zahid" whereas in the package its "leckish insha".so uh ?

thanks, your post kind of calmed me down.Jshak told me that the customs would want approx 45 % so that is shocking.what did you buy and how much tax you paid in total?

Take your id card and its copy, get application form (in the image below), it should be available at the post office (or you can type your own) and invoice of item. Also look up the PCT code of the item from the customs booklet. As far as total duty is concerned Jshak is right it should be around 45%. 25% CD + 17% ST.

I got one medical equipment which had value of around 900 USD and one time vehicle related stuff, electrical in nature cost around 300 USD.
They did look up the codes but before finalizing in written form i asked for concession being a doctor etc. And it worked. They gave rebate of around 13000 Rs and i was happy with it. Didnt pay them much thats why.
So take the customs letter, your cnic and cash. Thats all. And good communication skills ofcourse.

A friend of mine got some clothes from the US. The declared value on package was about $200 so they slapped her with a Rs.10,000 duty. So she went to customs and told them that these were bought at a sale and the declared value is wrong. They asked her to bring the invoice. She gave them an invoice of $50 and took home the clothes without paying a cent. But she was pretty, it might or might not work in your case

Make a fake invoice at home, create an email address and send emails to yourself. It's not like the tax is being spent on you anyway...duhh.
