An attempt to explore the Sharda, Taobat, Shounter and Areng Kel

Shounter... road was closed, Areng Kel... had no time to take a 2 hour walk uphill, missed Upper Taobutt too.. Next time it will be a weeks trip, InshAllah

It sounded great, A week's time will be enough for the trip and for the PW family to enjoy from a quality thread.

We came through this bridge to Domail Bala. One side of bridge was severrly damaged by flood but the villagers managed to use it. It is inclined at about 40 degree angle.

Area of Upper Taobat have started now but we will go a little further

Bakarwaals started their next day's journey from opposite side of Gagai and will cross gagai for Deosai plains.

Where they will live there for the whole summer season

and before Snow fall they have to make their back way journey in the same manner

We stayed one night at Sharda Rest House(Valley Trekkers) @ Rs. 2500 for a double bed room + a mattress.
Stayed one night in Taobat (Alwaheed Hotel) @ Rs. 500 For a double mattress room
Stayed two night in Kel (Neelum Guest house) @ Rs 600/night For a double bed room + a mattress.

Trek besides Gagai Nala goes upto Kamri Top. I don't clear either Gagai goes till Kamri or changes its route before it. There may be some other passes which may connect Kamri to Deosai as well. Any travel guru may enlighten it for clarification.

There are 3 contributory valleys that make up together Gagai Nallah.

All three lead to 3 different treks from Kashmir to Baltistan around Minimarg and Kala pani region:

1- Taobat - Kamri pass - Minimarg
2- Taobat - Kala pani pass - Kala pani
3- Taobat - unnamed pass - Finishes at villages between Kala pani and Chechri Kadal

The route coming from Astore divides into 4 valleys:

1- Chillam valley
2- Rattu and Kala pani
3- Rattu and Shounter side
4- Trashing and Rupal side
