Average maintenance cost is a little less then 1000 Rs. per month and it can be way less then that if u r not a maintenance freak like me.

I am adding lubricants and oils, filters and minor works needed from time to time e.g Indicator bulb etc.

Gutsy .. hmm probably .. but you can't say that a few outruns at whatever so called speeds you are saying is the indication to how good/bad a car is. You gotta be kidding me..

Build quality, quality of parts (the dash plastic, the seats etc) , how the engine internals keep up in the long run and so on.. are the type of factors I'd be thinking when choosing between a "Korean made Celica wanna be converted into a hatch" and a more original car. (see pic )

and if you're up to scratch, you'd know 4 door hatches aren't the best when it comes to the metal strength and rigidity in the long run, as it flexes more as compared to stronger pillar designed sedans.

i think noone buys a korean lift back for comparison with a celica especialy when it costs i times less. its bought for practical reasons. and noone is forcing anyone to like it. a fact remains a fact.

Good for street racing ? You mean a car specifically made for economy is good for street racing ? Your main reason is ...

The engine is a 1500cc Dohc(Double Over Head Camz) EFi 4Cylinder, producing a little less than 115 bhp. The RPM range I think iz 6780 RPMs. The Max Speed in Each gear(dat i tried myself) is 50km 1st gear- 95km 2nd gear - 128km 3rd gear - 145 4th gear and the top speed of 195 kms.

You find 115bhp GOOD ? ... Its good if you got a 600kg vehicle ... not this car. Go drive a Starlet GT if you can find one, or an old Integra XSi. You will then know whats good to be a 'street racer'

Its not about how much you can go in any gear, over revving ruins your vehicle and actually makes you slow since you can shift earlier to a high gear and get more speed in less time. Its about how much TIME it takes you to get to said speed. Stop ruining your car or whoevers car you drive by hitting the revv limiter everytime.

Also there are many more factors ... the suspension setup, the braking, the steering input, the transmission ... a 'street racing' car in my opinion should have some decent brakes (4discs atleast, that too a bit big), a good suspension setup that gives the driver some decent input and a short ratio gear box so I can better acceleration. Oh and ... an ECU tuned for getting some performance rather than getting more mileage per litre.

And there is no such thing as a Liftback Sedan, its either a Liftback OR a Sedan.

Another reason you gave for this car being a good street racer.

The top Spec comes with alloy wheelz, Spoiler, fog lamps, CD playa and power windowz. (Surround sound tweeters are standard-Tweeters included)

So, alloy wheels, fog lamp,s a CD 'playa' and power windows help in street racing ? Sounds more like to make it a better package for a family. Oh and how can I forget the spoiler ... a spoiler is there just for looks ... these cars dont need a spoiler for grip. Nor do these spoilers do anything for rear downforce ...

... however, this car is very good as a family car. Cheap, average maintainence, excellent FF CNG and comfy too.

Well first of all dere perfectly is a 'lift back sedan'(enter it in google or just ask Spectra). And i aint sayin this is the perfect car 4 street racin, but just comparing it to the local cars (Like civics, Corollaz ..)we get now days in Pak(not starlets) and its gud 4 street racin in the sense dat its a better street racer than citys n other cars in its price.

I know I aint no rapper or Black in that sense, but its just an accent i have considerin iv spet alot of my early life in England n in places which u would call ghettos n the company dere.

Spectra gives nice look in body kits.3 years back black Spectra was modified by the owner of KIA SIALKOT MOTORS and that time kit was imported from korea

Yeah I think thatz true, Spectra is more of a cheap family car. But all i sed waz u see ppl in Honda Cities, Balenos n Vitz racing around, den y not Spectraz(Since they r in the SSame price range)

Define what you mean by a 'Street racer' ... you can even race a Mehran or Cuore on the street, probably go ahead of more better powered cars thanks to its small size in traffic ... does that make it good ?

The Spectra, City and others have been made for economy and comfort in mind, not racing ... or in other words, performance. No Starlet GT ? Okay then, heard of the Charade GTXX n GTTi ? Old 1988 vehicles that are much much faster, handle much much better than this Spectra. And yes, you can find one in Karachi easily.

And the Spectra has not got success as a prefered ride for aftermarket performance upgrades either, whether you take Pakistan in context or the whole world. And there is a reason for that ... and that is that its not made for performance, or any of its variant, or any car that shares the platform of this vehicle for performance. Generally econo sedans get aftermarket success because a sports compact shares their platform or are a variant of the vehicle itself.

You said you were 'Anti Ricer carz', or anti ricer ... yet these pics you show scream out "RICE". Waddap wid that dawg

But 2 show u can mod or get bodykits for this car(Maybe not in Pak but dere iz a MarketCulture 4 Spectraz), since bobby on the previous reply sed he knowz a black Spectra with a body kit imported from Korea. Just thought 2 post pics of a black Body Kitted Spectra.
Da reason i aint considerin Cherades or Starlets is cuz im comparing local car which are still being sold in Pak.
