Chicken pullao.I don’t know what you call these “Rayorries” (slightly burnt rices at the bottom) in English. But I love them
Long time back i ate prawns in PC Karachi.for the next 6 hours, i could feel the smell in my breath and that was the first & last time i ate them
Me too not a big fan of em, the only time i ate em (both baby prawns and king prawns) was at a Bangladeshi restaurant in Cambridge.
Haha my phupo and dadi used to call it "Gharrorri" i guess due to the sound you hear when you scratch em off the pan. My kid also loves this.
I once ate King Prawns with a Chinese friend. He boiled them from fresh and we ate the boiled prawns dipped in a pickle.
It was , so much so we finished a kilo of prawns!
EDIT: This is the closest I can find its picture..
Cambridge is in England, in usa also, also in Canada, in Australia and i guess in N.Z and South Africa also. Even we have Cambridge Shop in Gulberge also.
So which cambridge was it?
When we cook "Daig" at our home (3~4 times in an year), then i wait with patience till all the Rice are distributed in Family, Friends & Neighbours. And when it comes the bottom part of the Daig, i collect these "Karrories" or Gharrories" and eat them the best scene comes when my wife finds me eating that. She start thinking that if i was an aliean before !!
Really? didn't knew!It was in Cambourne, Cambridge, UK.
Guys is the cast iron pan really expensive than other materials?I had a look in market and cast iron stuff is twice-thrice as expensive as your usual aluminum with non stick coating.
Secondly the cast iron pans i saw were black. I know cast iron is pre-seasoned but i hope its not the teflon coating which is dangerous for health. Any insights on this topic?
