Yesterday:

A guy came to Dyno his Nissan Patrol 4.8 with a bolt on turbo charger and boosted to the sky.

Place it on the Dyno and 1st gear pull we notice overboost, and abort the Dyno run. Guess what? The engine couldnot take the free reving once the foot was removed off the accelerator, The Crankshaft gaveway! Yes the Crank broke!

Morale of the post: bolt on turbo kits does not mean you can do it at home:

Today:
Guy comes in with Honda Accord and wants to dyno tune with the Installation of a Apexi AFC (Air/Fuel controller). Guess what it dynoed at 101whp. The only gain he got out of the AFC was 3whp. That is AED2300 for 3whp. Not our fault, we just tuned it. He had bought the parts else where and got the idea that he can boost his car, lol!
