Hi everyone,

Sorry for being offtopic but can anybody guide me about how to identify if a set is original or a korean version. For example if i m buying a Samsung Galaxy S3, then how i woyld know that the set is original S3 or a Korean clone version. Please help. Thanks!

Korean version have 2gb RAM like GT-i9305. Its model number is SHV-E210k/l/s and most the phones being sold here are fake Korean models with model number GT-i9300 which is the model number of international version.You should check the kernel version and the model number of the S3 before buying.

To make it easy to understand:

GT-I9300: International model. 1GB RAM and a Quad-Core 1.4GHz CPU.

GT-I9305: European version. Has an LTE chip. 2GB RAM and a Quad-Core 1.4GHz CPU.

SGH-I747/SGH-I747M (AT&T and Rogers Canada): USA and Canada only. 2GB RAM and 1.5GHz Dual-Core CPU.

The Korean ones have 2GB RAM. They'll probably have a carrier logo on the top of the screen under the Samsung logo or on the middle of the back cover. They have model numbers that usually start with SHV.
