i disagree with this statement a solid reason, number of complaints, rules violations and BAN become effective only after few warnings.

i know few basic rules to manage a forum/billboard as i was part of a team managing a closed user group & billboard during dial-up modem days when 9600 modem was awesome and everyone use to wait for 10.30 PM to occupy the phone line while paying Rs. 125 per hour.

oh the old days - even at that time I had free access and also had access into the core NOCs of the only handful of ISPs

good times. - btw were you on MIRC?

IMO a person should be a little witty and humorous in his life and words otherwise it will become a very boring life, and 2C displays that on PW, he is far better than 50% of the PW population who come online asking for modelling, selling 2no. stuff and COPY/PASTE stuff from the internet and call it their own.

If I was running this board and faced plagiarism by the users I would kick the users dead. It takes all sorts of effort to build a repute and only a handful of effort to destroy it by plagiarism. 2Cs comments on business, practices etc are from his own head. So what if he adds some pepper to his comments everyone does that... Me too - and I also like to add ACID if someone shows themselves as a COLOSSAL ANGUS with a scholastic background of atleast 10 years.

Yep after 14.4 modems i started on pIRCH client.

I was along side Naseer Khan Ghazi Founder Father of dialup Internet services with 1st 128K link, adjusting dish angles for maximum signal strength at a off-Railway yard building on old Queens road - 1st ever dial up private sector internet service provider. UNDP sponsored SDN PK was functional in Islamabad only. Brain net was operating in Lahore without a licence shifting locations every now & then. Altamash kamal was doing limited service work for news wire services. Few years later NKG started Multinet offering dedicated broadband services again 1st time in Pakistan before PTCL

In between came faisal ahmed of fascom focused different tier of market I happen to know the 4 brothers closely never let faisal grasp what i work about textiles or satellite communications.

Mirc started in mad-days of 14.4K modems & Paknet came into being alongside digicom, comsats, brain net - i was 'neuton' on #helpdesk @dalnet & undernet enjoyed leisurely while being indoors due to deteriorating city situation, after an year or so got an IRCOP status before giving up as it demanded more of hopping between channels instead of being with friends or helping users promptly.

Most notorious nick names from Pakistan -from Brain net & paknet ISPs reported nick taken-over, hacked channel, channel takeover attempts etc etc were between: Bhoot, Shakeel, Ravian, Numlocks, BugsBunny, Shehzada. Pagal for #Pakistan - once whole of Paknet IP bank was banned over dalnet because of using static IP & violation of Dalnet terms of connectivity 2nd most violent country in terms of online wars was UK 3rd came the India ..............on & on & on & on....! yep good days when an IP can be nuked and whole segment of IPs can be banned for connectivity with consent of 3 online IRCOPs and only TOP COP or ADMIN can revoke that.
