Currently visiting twin cities so finally I'm able to get my hands on clutch bar lock. Rs2000 plus chai pani (although he didn't ask but I gave him for showing courtesy of instructing how go fit it in)

Few things. The police guy was polite and explaining the mechanism and joking which was surprise as I was expecting him to talk in typical police lehja.
Anyway he was saying these r actually delaying tactics. Car chor r one step ahead of us. These instruments and devices (including chip card) r crackable but require time.

I wanted to install the chip card system but that required form filling, pic to be pasted on chip card, advance payment and installation after 3 days. Didn't had that time at hand so settled with the clutch bar only.

This lock (or type of Locks/Pledgers) only takes 10 to 12 Seconds for breaking/cutting,
These are only Parking Locks, not to use as Anti-Theft Device/Lock in USA/UK/China etc

Yar maybe if I hadn't he might have asked for chai pani himself. Just saved him the trouble of asking . I just shared my lil experience.

N u r right chip installation takes only 45 min but could take up to 1.5 hour if u argue to place chip card reader in a more unusual place other than dash.
N I didn't say hours or days. What I said n meant was that installer a guy named amjad wasn't there. So pehle nawab sahb Ka wait kro. Then after u fill form n giv pic n payment the nawab sahb will tell when he will be comfortable to install which will be at least after 2 days but I'm returning lhr tomorrow therefore the wait didn't suit me.

I have not seen picture of this "bar lock" but I have used similar locks. These are either attached to clutch pedal for manual or the brake pedal (for auto) cars.
