why spend so much on the co-axial 6.5" speakers when u can get a decent set of components for around the same price?

Brother you can check post #831 where I have clearly stated that components are not my requirement I need only co-axials as I have to place the speakers at the rear.

@racerali brother I will still suggest you if you can open it you should not let any repair guy to open it for you. Please refer to the civic 96-00 manual from there you will easily learn know how to open the audio/heater panel, remove the player and give it to the repair person. By the time it get repaired temporarily fix the panel when the player is ready check it by connecting it into your car at his shop, if its OK then fix the panel permanently.

my kia sportage audio requires code to unlock the features but i don't know the code what i can do it to unlock with out code

what model year is the suv? is the code 4 digit or 5? the code can generally be found in the Owners Manual, the Passenger Glovebox or the trunk lid. incase you cant find it anywhere try entering 0000 or 1111 (for the 4 digit case). this is the universal code for kia. the 4 digit code can also be found on the back of the radio. if the code isnt there, the serial number (on the back of the radio) can be given to any KIA/Hyundai dealer near you and they will give you the radio code.

u could have easily bought some infinity/jbl comps in 10-12k. however if u so wanted to go for coaxials, should have looked into these.

I have an unknown obsession towards these well known and famous brands like the Alpine/JVC/Pioneer/Panasonic/Kenwood/Sony. Currently there is no amp in the setup and at the moment the setup consists of JVC AVX830 head unit and Pioneer's OEM gathers front door speakers attached with Panasonic soft dome tweeters. Interestingly the result is amazing that's why I don't want to disturb them so just needed to have co-axial speakers at the back to fill in the sound gap at the rear.

thanks few of your methods I've tried already entering code fuse box check etc but will check glovebox and trunk lid

the installation of the tweeter in the back is not a big issue.... but if u dont like it then no issue.

i suggest that its better if u let a pro or someone who knows how to open it. these things have tabs/nuts/catchers in unreachable places that sometime require specific tools to open. if u break a tab somewhere, it wont fit back properly

I want to change the speakers in my car, a Swift. The speakers are located in the doors(4 of them) and they sound crap.

I think they are 6*9 or something. I want something that can produce more bass and sound good too- not sound distorted at high volume.
Is the stock HU good enough? it is a Alpine HU with only 1 RCA out the peak power is 50*4(Copies from Yawar's thread:)).

I might go for a sub-woofer after too, but i want to replace the door speakers first:P

i think its not tuned properly ,,, it used to be very clean and loud ,,,since i have installed it again , its not so clean or loud in fact its kinda dirty !!

it needs some tweaking but dont know where to go as i m not satisfied with the current setting !!

to get a decent sound out of components, amp is recommended. try focal 165sg comps. should leave only a small dent in the wallet.
