A friend of mine sent me a text a couple of days back regarding a "CHARITY CAR RACE" to be held at Walton Aerodrome on March 4th. Some "JEEPERZ" guys arranging that show and they claim for it to be fundraiser for blind community. They further claim to be associated with True Sight Organization (home | True Sight). The organizers first claimed to have NOCs from the D.I.G of Police and etc. for the "drag race" operations. They changed the terminology later when on voice call.
I dug, I asked some senior admins of PW to see if such information has undergone their sights but the reply was in negative. Also learning that the PW management has rejected to be a part as the organizers did neither have any permission letter(s) whatsoever nor did they could convince the PW to part in.
It is not that I'm crucifying the organizers but I do have my questions regarding the credibility of a)the organizers, b)the cause served, c)the event, d)the trust factor. Esp. the trust factor as they used the name of charity; compassion which emotionally blackmails and then blinds us Pakistani just right away.
Upon digging further, I have learnt that so far, the organizers have neither displayed any affiliation sign with the said NGO, or any MOU signed for the co-branding for the event with "True Sight Organization", or even a joint-venture contract of any sort. To make themselves a little credible, they should kindly have ensured to produce the said in the first place. I know this stuff as I am a community activist, regional chief, and an honorary pattern with 3 NGOs respectively, and I do know what papers must come along when you let someone use your name. And, as to how to go with the financial handling at such levels.
Anyway, since I haven't so far found anything of the above on neither of their websites i.e. (organizers: jeeperz.org) and/or facebook event page, and/or the NGO's website (truesight.org.pk; which seriously, looks like a totally non-professional, top-secret, intentionally hiding piece of non-informational content).
Still, I'd remain all ears to see if someone knows what's going on, and what is to come our ways. If they are good guys actually committed to the cause, hats off to them, but lets see if they're totally genuine and answer to their questioned credibility, which is all due to their own non-professional settlement, and administration regarding taking a cause along. My suspicions are only there because i felt so, i'm only curious for i care when it is about compassion. My sixth sense didn't digest the above, so here I am... not blaming or accusing anyone, just trying to learn more on this...
