Any one interested to do road trip with family from Karachi to Islamabad just after Eid

I have planned the stopovers like this:
Karachi to Moro in all approx 5 hours InshaAllah, stopover at Royal Taj Restaurant Moro for refreshment & restroom
Thereafter, Moro till Mcdonalds Pano Aqil Approx 2.5 hours InshaAllah. And then rest at Rahim yar khan.
Plan to InshaAllah leave at 6AM other day

What do you suggest stopovers then onwards?

you can skip the stopover at Moro if you can get sandwiches etc for lunch @ car. this would save you time, as well as oppurtunity to spend time at the night stopover location.

beyond panoo aqil, restroom are not that much of an issue. look for the tuck shop at pump, if its renovated / above average in looks (signboard etc); they would invested in toilets as well

to be honest, I really am not sure how driving straight for more than 5 hours would be?
Also not sure how this will impact my car. Though it's new but have not tested it that far and only drive within city.
Also do you recommend AC altogether or not? It's a wagonr (local)

drive for 5 hrs + is easily possible. keep snacks/drink with you to stay fresh.
Car should be fine, i drove for 13 hrs straight (with 60 mins stopping in between, even engine was start with AC was running all the time during stopover)

find Hascol petrol pumps during the journey and do stopover there for washrooms.. they advertise themselves as having well maintained clean washrooms!

@smqtesting Just my view based on my own experience.

BRV and WagonR are two different classes and IMO are not comparable. I believe it would not be a bad idea to give your car about 20-30 minutes break after some 3 - 3 1/2 hours. I learnt from a technical man that with engine on, pouring water on the radiator really helps. After pouring sufficient amount of water, engine can be shut off to give it a break.

I was driving a Nissan AD (1300 cc) in my trip this June. And long stretch of driving with extremely hot sun out there can be too much for a car and its cooling system. Having said that, if you are driving at around 90-100 Km/h it might not put extra pressure on cooling system but if you try to be consistently at 110-120 km/h it might. Just my opinion.

exactly that was what I was thinking that comparision between the mentioned two cars is not just.
Hence I am asking for some candid feedback whether I should take my ride on AC or without it. Plus I do not plan to go above 100km/h for most of the part of my journey. But since having no experience cant really say what road and traffic conditions would permit

In my opinion, considering that your car is new, there is no harm in going with AC. After all AC is installed for use in it. But being within reasonable speed limit (90-100 or occasionally at 110) and giving it a bit of rest after some 3 - 3 1/2 hours would insha' Allah make your journey trouble free.

Also its advisable to just resist the temptation of driving really fast on Motorway and maintain a reasonable speed will also help!

can anyone advise how road conditions of Sindh are? where one needs to be cautious?

I traveled on N5 a couple of weeks ago (Khi to Lhr) and based on my experience I don't think there is any specific area where you need to be cautious. You may find a couple of places where the road will not be in a good condition (small patch near ghotki) or there will be some diversion (near Bahria town Khi) but you'll have ample time to slow down as there will be proper notifications/warnings given on N5 before any such patch. Hence just keep on reading the sign boards and you'll not face any difficulty with respect to road conditions.
Also note that the deterioration and repair/carpeting is a continuous process at highways so a patch where you can't accelerate much today will be ready for 100Km/hr speed tomorrow.

So will there be a need for a re-check again since I plan to travel InshaAllah by end of August

No need to worry, 5,000km inspection should include below items and you should be good:
* air filter clean
* oil filter change
* oil change
* ac filter clean
* battery water check
* brake and suspension inspection
* nuts and bolts being tightened to correct torque

1000km here or there does not matter much for regular checkup. You may delay this inspection for a couple of weeks so you get this done few days before your departure. You may highlight this explicitly to the service adviser that you'll be taking your car to Isb/Swat so he may check and advise accordingly.
