I have tried MK pads (Yellow box) many times and from different vendors. From Kiyani autos, Dawn autos and Waseem autos. All claimed them to be genuine but they never worked for me. I frequently travel to hilly areas and MK pads become useless downhill. I tried many things like replacing the brake fluid, changing the rubber pipes etc but nothing worked. It was very scary to drive car on such slopes with unreliable brakes.
Once after such a deadly episode returning from Thandiani, I went straight to Kiyani autos Rwp and asked him to give me genuine brake pads no matter what they cost. He didn't have genuine SGP pads for Khyber so he gave me MK again claiming that they are 100 percent genuine now. He said that the ones you were using must be fake. So on his persistence, I bought MK and they again lost braking power on downhill. I try to use brakes less in hilly areas and rely on gear braking but even then the brakes used to fade out pretty quickly.
Now there is no such thing with Frixa pads. I am very much confident on my car's brakes on down hill. I visited Keran Neelum Valley AJK and used excessive braking during the tour but no brake fading at all. The Frixa brake pads are just like original brake pads but at a very cheap price.
A few weeks ago a shopkeeper was telling me that the composition/material of MK brake pads is changed now. So may be the newer material is better. Also if frixa brake pads become common, we may have its fake copies in market.
