AutoWaz are manufacturers of Lada in Russia. They are not official car safety testing authority. Moreover, being a car manufacturer, judging the results of a competitive brand can turn out to be very biased.

So wat? Both are are fine enough... Crash test doesn't mean to check the car's rigidness. It's done to check whether the passenger compartment remains safe after the collision. In both cases, cars bared all the pain and passenger compartment remained safe. If it was a rigid structure, it wud have damage the interior alot. Try to adjust ur concept abt crashed vehicles

As for the Counterparts - well, lets see. The difference between the prices of Cherry QQ, and Chevrolet Spark is a little more than a hundred thousand roubles. Now that's a big amount in a country where you can buy a very nice used Moskvichka, or Vosmerka or even Devyatka for a hundred thousand roubles. If you're lucky, you may even get a used Opel Vectra for 100,000 roubles.

So kindly keep the price tag in consideration when comparing different products. As for the safety, as far as I know, a Chevy Spark isn't really a safe car neither - safety ratings of 2.5 for the adults, 2 for the kids, and 2 for the padestrians. These results are considered to be poor. (Euro NCAP)

we don't have crash tested cars in pakistan (local) so why are you all worried. if you were, you'd stop buying local cars.

i've heard that a long time ago toyota and hondas designs were crash tested (abroad and on computer simulators) but they never bothered to actually test a production model.

i'd love to see how these vehicles perform under strict crash tests,.. then again our youth do it every weekend and on every holiday,.. sadly our graveyards are full of crash test data.

i think it depends on the intensity of the collision or crash, we have seen even ferraris beemars and mercs cut into half in major crashes, i also had an accident in my alto vxr, it was a headon smash into a wall near KFC in peshawar, My car was at 100km/h when i lost controll due to a local transport bus. The front of my car was completly destroyed but everything inside the passenger cabin was intact and i didnt had a single scratch by the grace of God, the only thing i did right was that i was wearing a seat belt which u will rearly see in peshawar.

agree with storm.. why only blame china made cars when we get even worse from our local manufacturers... examples posted above.. how many of us will actually stop buying suzukis just because of the fact that they are unsafe???
