The steering wheel was bothering me from the very first day. The thickness and feel both felt wierd. The joinery lines were untidy and thanks to Atlas it had a very Suzuki feel to it. So annoyed, I finally took the step of leather wrapping it and I am loving it since. Feels much better to hold now.

Here are the leather door panels and console again. The material I selected is thickest one available. For the record Atlas uses an even lower grade. Only 30% is leather in oem rest is artificial rexine of lowest grade and matching material as atlas is for 8k aftermarket. I personally omitted the stitch on door panel but you can have that in after market. Like this friends car done by the same guy in black

Usually the way I get it done is: in advance select a leather sample of my choice in terms of thickness and color shade. I matched mine with the plastic shoulder panels on sides of rear seats. He would then take one day to prepare as these are not the standard ready made he has prepared for normal demand which cost half of this job. Those are in lower quality.

After they are prepared you will have to take your car as its a 3-4 hour job for the fitting.

First of all congratulations! I have plan to buy in June and finalizing the color now a days, i see lot of Civic X on road in white color and yours is also in white. Can you explain why you go for white?

Nice idea of having stitched in half pieces....i have stitched mine with one single piece....thought behind that was to save the original one completely coz with the passage of time the remaining half (the original one) would get wear off....

I think he is talking about seat covers and interior color.....as in above pictures shown

Bro I had the following reasons:
1. Since I feel irritated by a layer of visible dust on the car so I am a fan of light colors being White and Silver
2. White looks huge
3. Silver is one of the worst colors to match if God forbid a touch up is needed on a single piece.

So the obvious choice left for me was White

Black looks kind of cool but I prefer beige because a) it looks kind of oem and b) black looks slightly congested and monotonous to me and c) a single mark of fingers or hand makes an oily or dirt print stamp visible on black along with the fact it makes dust also obvious.

I like beige because of its boredom breaking light feel

I am not worried about saving the original one. My main concern was a good feel to hold the steering and a better look

Not at all. Its a smooth stitch towards the inside
