PS i use the ac in winters as well in combination with heater to clear the foggy windscreen

Because temp is already low outside, turn on fresh air and temp knob on cool, it will clear all fog easily
I do same rather than using ac
Also will save bit of fuel, not that much

sometimes outside air is just not enough to defog. in the ejd you have to turn on ac. or sometimes you dont want to let the polluted dusty air creeps in.

I need some guidance. I am going a buy a 2010 model mehran VXR run on petrol. Non cng version. Its my first. Previously never owned any car. Can you please guide me how i should maintain it for problem free running for a long period. Also guide about what immediate tasks need to be done once i get my hands on it. Thanks alot.

What you save on fuel this way is spent 5 x more when you have to replace the compressor shaft seal and refrigerant.

Its being penny wise pound foolish.

It has a very simple maintenance schedule, follow that with a good honest reliable (by book work) workshop.

Your car will serve you proper that way, do not let morons with tools hack up the car and say its good, with stupidities like garam ilaqa, purana tajurba, mota aail etc etc.

The z links on my Corolla 2016 have started making a very light sound, it's not to frequent, but it's there. I wanted to replace them, the mechanic suggests to press them. Now I have seen him do this for so many of his clients, and no complaints, what I want to ask, just for knowledge sakes, that safe is it to press z links or repair axles(since this is something else that I have seen them do quite often).
Now his response is, people usually don't want to spend much, hence they ask him to repair parts till as long they are functional. Suzuki owners usually press them a few times before changing....

@dayrider thats a common practice. In Karachi afzaal saheb of abdul hameed & sons also give choice of press or replacement after inspection of ends & links.

What is the proper way to adjust the idle on swift m13a auto?
Issue is the idling is fine on P or N (about800) but when i put it in D or R, its rpm drops 600-650 and car shakes. The car runs fine over all though but when i am at a stop with brake and in D, the car is shaky. Not much but still shaky. With Ac, it runs great with rpm around 850 in D.
i have changed the plugs with factory recommended plugs i.e. NGK bkr6e11. Issue still remains. Cleaned IAC and TB by myself. It didnt have much carbon and IAC was easily rotating as well.
What i havnt done is ECU reset. Would that help? If so, please guide how to properly reset the ECU in PKDM swift.
Plus in autos, do we need to adjust the RPM by rpm adjustment screw or is it done by ECU itself? I was tild not to fiddle with that screw, however, i think if ecu was responsible for controlling Idle all by itself, there wouldnt be an idle adjustment screw in the first place.
One more query, if we are supposed to adjust RPM through Adjustment screw, should it be done with car in D or P?

PS. Car is 64ks driven. Oil shell 5.40 less than 600 s driven. Air filter is clean. Plugs changed when oil was changed.

In Suzukis, they say that the first press lasts 6 months on average, that's not a small interval....

When is your gear oil change due?

Gear Oil change was done on 46ks. Now its 64ks driven. Oil used was caltex .

Did this problem start suddenly or after some work?

It started about 2-3 months back. No work has been done of any kind. It just started out of no where. The rpm would fall below 500 when ac is turned off and them rises back up to 650s. I have been driving with keeping the defogger on. It somehow keeps the RPM a little up

Is there any other issue besides this? Usually this is idle valve related or throttle body related
