what was done during the tune up?
does the engine bog down on acceleration?

just plug cleaning and air filter cleaning. nothing else. car doesnt bog down while accelerating; it is just that the pick is very slow. No error codes though neither in history as this is brand new car. The jerks are more prominent while ac is on. if i turn off ac it becomes much better.

AMSOIL is available from there distributer in Lahore. They will ship it anywhere u want it. I got an overnight delivery of cvt synthetic gear oil from them in Islamabad. Contact them via email or phone. , nice guys there.

this is the post cat o2 - your PID translator is incorrect in your app. I believe your car has a cat converter in it (not gutted out).

btw - I can see you have been trying to clear the codes by battery disconnect - dont do that - it makes it very hard to diagnose for anyone, the codes and freeze frames are the only tools a mechanic/tech can use to do best diagnosis.

Thanks for providing your time and knowledge. Can you describe the bold text i don't understand that point. I don't clear the codes by battery disconnect but i once clear the codes from App to check the problem was resolved so the problem is still come so i stop clear codes now. I have gone to Toyota Central Motors and they asking for around 17000 PKR for scanning and diagnose the car and which they said we can't assure you that your problem will resolved. So i said Toyota ppl bye bye and start my car and went home. This is the level of our local Toyota Dealership.

use shell 5W-30 or 5w-40, or mobil 0w-40 - best oils you can buy here for your money

I don't know much about car's cooling systems so need a little guidance. I have owned 1mehran, 1 auto EG civic(d15b7) and 2 auto EK civics(d16y4).
While doing 80km\hr on highways, mehran temp needle remaind close to C. As soon I try to slow the vehicle down or increase the speed, temp needle used to move a bit to the middle. It remained in middle in city drive though. Its thermostat valve was removed by a desi mechanic.
My first EG and EK were normal I believe. Once the temperature needle came in middle, It NEVER leaned down to C. But my current EK is behaving like mehran. I am traveling 30km on highway (speed limit is 80) and Temp needle remains close to C. After entering in city stop/go traffic, temp raises to middle like normal but if again I try to maintain eco speed (80km/hr), engine will start cooling down. I really want to know what is causing this variation and what is OPTIMUM temp level for engine to perform efficiently. This thing is also bothering me because I feel like my cars heater's performance is somehow associated with engine temp and its bloody cold these days.

@xulfiqar bro i have civic vti 98 manual.. I purchased it 6 months earlier.. From the 1st day i am facing an issue.. At cold start car RPM remains at 1500.. Which gradually come down as car heats up.. And after a drive of 15 to 20 mins the RPM reduced to 500 and it was very difficult to drive the car becoz when it heats up whenever i applied breaks it either lose power and stop or i need to apply the 1st gear to keep car moving.. Also in this situation power steering become so hard and also produce sounds.. I have tune the engine 2 times in 6 months including 1 time from honda.. But no satisfactory results.. Plz help..

when were spark plugs and fuel filter replaced last

your car has been adjusted wrong, the idle speed is not supposed to be 500 rpm, its 800 rpm, the way its adjusted is that with no ISC connected the rpm should be 650 - once you adjust then you connect the ISC back

what company or quality pads are you using ..... using wrong 1s will need to be replaced in month time and they will damage disk as well

can you provide information on what materials were being used when the pads were being installed. Materials being what grease and other compounds.

can you provide information on how the brakes were burnished?

Salam to all, I have recently swapped the engine assembly of My Civic's 03 VTi Prosmatec to D 17. The wiring we use is of previous, after the swap, Engine check light turned on when the first time I crossed 3,000 rpm. I went to Honda 2 S when the work shop was about to close yesterday, and we all were in a bit of hurry. He said many things which I didn't understand at that time, he scanned the car with HDS and did something which I completely don't understand, the check light went out during his checking. He said that VTEC is not working because I have swapped to an engine which is of a manual car instead of a prosmatec (I doubt that). When I was returning back, as I crossed 3,000 rpm the light went on again. I stopped, switched off completely, restarted the ignition, check light was off. But whenever I cross 3,000 the light gets on and it turn off when I completely switch off the car. Can anybody help, I know I can go back to that Honda guy, but that would be Sunday and I don't want him to fool me again.
