Hi Xulfiqar, in some previous post, you recommended Mobil multi-vehicle ATF as a good alternate of Honda DW-1 but I am unbale to find it in ISB/RWP. For some reason i don't want to go with DW-1, so would you recommend Caltex Texamatic 1888 or ZIC ATF III for Accord CL9?

both ATF you mention are dex III clones and are not suitable replacements for DW1 ATF which is a highly friction modified ATF. I believe liqui moly is selling a multivehicle ATF - but why not use Honda DW1 as its lower cost.

Umm no i was more into there formulation couldn't notice the names.
EDIT:: One thing i noticed was the box say lithium "smothing" brake grease. With some 250C flash point.
That lithium bothered me. Aren't grease with lithium petroleum based?

The only time such greases are used on brake parts is when the caliper pins are exposed (old General Motors etc). Your car has gaiters on its caliper slider pins and is specified for silicone grease - same grease is also used as anti squeal compound on the back of pads and shims.

How do i bed in brake shoes(used in rear drum brakes) ? How are they serviced?

EDIT: do i pull on handbrake or just use the pedal?

@Xulfiqar Well recently i dont know why following codes are being thrown by ABS and EPS. Abs ones were not there before but came recently.

After resetting the battery and starting the car ABS is gone but EPS is there but after driving it came back. What i did is installed brake light bulb in light between two speakers and previous screen

Is the following brake bed in procedure ok?

1) drive to 60kph and brake with moderate pressure to 10kph for 3 to 4 times.
2) drive to 80kph and brake with harder pressure(not enough to trigger ABS) to 10kph for 2 times.
3) let brakes cool to 60 degrees C or below and then park otherwise no complete stops using brakes.

Is it normal to see smoke coming this way? And the burning rubber smell?

Umm - oka i get that. But how would you explain that re-gaining of breaking when i pressed the paddle i mean i was at 100km/hr i pressed the break paddle it did slow down but with a very fade response i kept the paddle pressed and then suddenly the breaking force was re-gained and car responded to the breaks (thankGOD intime). Is it due to old break fluid?
And i don't know deglazing and break burnishing but let me google it and gather some authentic stuff from there(i believe i should do something myself too rather than just eating your head out lol) then I'll get back to you on that if i had any confusion.

xulfiqar sir I have seen couple of cases where cam sensor gets faulty becoz ppl use non efi kits on their car's so what do you say by using lambda sensor can be overcome this problem?

Friend my power steering pump is leaking a little. Before changing the bump tell me how can i flush the system properly. Never performed power steering flush. I am attaching picture of my engine bay. Please highlight the stuff which are to be worked on for the flush to be performed.

If you remember earlier i had asked u upon releasing clutch and getting into motion car used to vibrate. Day before yesterday a little noise occurred in cabin when driving. If in the front it seemed noise coming from behind and if seated at rear it seemed it's coming from front. Drove around neighborhood for 15 mins but couldn't find the source of noise. Got tired. Got home pulled the handbrake and started releasing and pressing the clutch and accelerator to find the source of noise. Didn't make the RPM go beyond 3k while doing this. After a min hell lot of smoke from lower engine bay and disgusting smell of burned rubber type smell came. Turned the car off opened the hood and checked. No fire nothing. But lot of smoke! I knew it was the clutch plates and was scared they mind have died. Cooled the car off but letting it sit for a while. Started the car tried to engage a gear and but the gears won't engage and grinding noise coming. Opened the hood and tightened the clutch by hand which is below battery tray. Started the car the gears are engaging perfectly and and and and the car now doesn't vibrate while releasing clutch and getting in motion. Was shocked. Did the car repair the clutch by itself. Because i have tried to tighten the clutch many times earlier when i bought the car but this smoke thing just made the clutch smooth as silk!

Yesterday turned out to be a bad day. Was going home suddenly a noise from engine bay came as if something broke. Then as soon as i checked the cluster the battery light had popped up. I knew the alternator belt has broken. Thank God i was near my house. Went home opened the bonnet and check and the belt was not there. Started my car went to a electrician. Told him to install the belt. He took rest of the belts off and installed the alternator belt. While he was working i noticed coolant leaking from below. I asked him what happened why is the coolant leaking. He told me because water pump stopped working because alternator and water pump both run on the same belt. I was like WTH i should have known this damn! My already weak radiator blown to hell. Because of battery light glowing in the cluster i totally ignored the temperature gauge. I asked him why a new belt broke so early. Then i remembered the belt was 4PK and those 3 pulleys require 5PK. Told him and he said that was the reason belt broke so early. My previous dumb electrician had installed 4PK just because 5PK was not available. And because of that all this happened. Kia karai in jahil so-called kaam walo ka! I'm so pissed off right now. Also told this new electrician that my previous electrician installed the belt by turning the engine by giving self again and again. He told me these are the 2 reasons you are facing this trouble. I was so pissed of. I hope the head gasket is fine. Took off for home and i was almost home when i noticed the temperature gauge was on half. In my car's language it means it's overheating. So turned of car once before reaching home to cool it down a little and then finally reached home. So 5PK belt installed now. Electrician also changed compressor's belt because it was clearly weak.

So in the morning i took off the radiator off the car because Plaza is far away and i can't take risk by driving 10 kilometers in this hot weather. Radiator has to be changed so took both the fans off the radiator. Took few pictures for you please take a look and thanks in advance. Your words are really helpful. I am also thinking of replacing the fans. From 4 blades to something better. Because the main fan is having motor of some other car and it's very noisy because motor is quite powerful and the fans are direct so it's irritating. The main fan's too much powerful and because of this the noise level is too much as if it's a small single propeller aircraft.

get a brand new radiator, it is too much zalalat to have it repaired, and the work is so crude. I totally regret having my radiator tanks replaced.

@xulfiqar My Caprice Royale 6.0L 2013 GM L77 small block V8 is having oil consumption issue, i use Castrol Magnetic 5W30 synthetic in it but after 5000km it reduces 1qt, it is 48000km driven. I use OE AC Delco filters, one of my friend has suggested to use Mobil 1 as it is factory fill in Corvette which has L77. I drain oil after 5000km as my car is driven very less.

Finally bought a new radiator. Thankfully Accord 86 ka Thai radiator mil gaya brand new. Original Japanese tou i guess is very expensive. And previous radiator had 2 small nalis. This is one big nali. Better than previous one. Also bought a new radiator fan. The older one was too noisy and not effective because it had a A/C blower's motor. Also bought Coolant. Now in this heat i will have to flush out the previous coolant and install all this. Allah madad.

Radiator and both fans up and running. So tired. Everything went smooth Allah ka shukar. Coolant not added yet. Will add after making sure no leaks and will then flush the system again. Xulfiqar there are around 3-4 posts of mine. Please please please read all and reply. I get to learn many things from you.

was your old radiator a copper core item? - if yes then that was about 10 times better in cooling performance than this one, btw this radiator you bought is not suitable for your car as its missing the thermoswitch port - the original thermoswitch port is angled upwards like the lower radiator hose fitting.

To make this fan functional again you will have to rig up an intermediate switch somewhere in the middle of the lower hose pipe.

You said - your old fan was an A/C blower? I dont think that its possible to fit a squirrel cage fan in a radiator shroud, Do you have a picture?

btw I also see that you have the higher capacity smaller fan with the larger shroud, I see the shroud is not sitting flush with the radiator core - any gaps between the fan shroud and the radiator will cause the fan not to pull air through the fins as it will simply suck air from the open areas on its sides. Originally there is almost no gap at all between the shrouds and the radiator. Originally the small fan has a very tiny shroud that literally sits on the fins itself.

Normal. Its done by many of us to maintain the ratio of air to fuel.
