was your old radiator a copper core item? - if yes then that was about 10 times better in cooling performance than this one, btw this radiator you bought is not suitable for your car as its missing the thermoswitch port - the original thermoswitch port is angled upwards like the lower radiator hose fitting.
To make this fan functional again you will have to rig up an intermediate switch somewhere in the middle of the lower hose pipe.
You said - your old fan was an A/C blower? I dont think that its possible to fit a squirrel cage fan in a radiator shroud, Do you have a picture?
btw I also see that you have the higher capacity smaller fan with the larger shroud, I see the shroud is not sitting flush with the radiator core - any gaps between the fan shroud and the radiator will cause the fan not to pull air through the fins as it will simply suck air from the open areas on its sides. Originally there is almost no gap at all between the shrouds and the radiator. Originally the small fan has a very tiny shroud that literally sits on the fins itself.
