The car was stand still for almost 9 years.

The water pump gasket was replaced by my uncle (previous owner) and it was a cheap green gatta gasket made by the lathe worker. (The new one wasn't available in the village).The car was running with tap water with no T valve.I installed the T valve back and filled the engine with fresh coolant.After I changed the coolant,the water pump gasket started leaking.The question is how to replace the gasket correctly and which RTV should be used or shouldn't..

I have a suzuki Palette 2012 with K6A engine & CVT.....

1. Initially @48000Km my younger brother went to a oil change shop & they poured normal ZIC ATF....until i came to know of it recently & the car is now @58000KM. Th car wasnt giving any issues but I changed it today.
2. Today I poured Toyota CVTF in it & the engine sound is very less now & everything seems normal.
3. The mechanic drained the oil by loosening a nut on the chamber below & Lifting the rear on a jack, 3L of oil came out? Is it ok? I mean 3L is all that goes into it?

Any idea that how much the ZIC ATF might have damaged the CVT?
& if the CVT is damaged how can I know it? symptoms?
When should I do the next change

One more thing is there any transmission OIL filter in it & where?

I have 2012 aqua with 83k on odo, I have 3 options available for its engine lubrication needs, zic 5w20 zic 0w30, and liqui moly 5w30, kindly give me ur recommendation, (manual recommends 0w20) (I m very confused)

First Thanks for your valuable information. Yes i m experience rough idle when i applied brakes on car or when car is in low RPM or when car is in idle but pressing throttle pedal rough idle is reduced. About Engine Smoothly accelerate Yes its smoothly accelerate but there is one symptoms where i can know my car will gone stop is that before stopping my car is feeling like choking and produce some noise from engine bay and then stop and if during choking sound if i stop AC then the car is running fine and don't Stop

One more thing i noticed when my car is stopped When i start my car again immediately it taking longer self but car is not started after waiting for 1 - 2 minutes then i start again my car it will start normally without any longer self.

History of My Car maintenance:

Periodic Maintenance Done with Toyota Central Motors
Current Odo Reading: 120k
Engine Oil: Toyota Petron 20W50 (which stupid Toyota recommend)
Transmission Oil: Never changed after buying car (Almost driving 2 years 6 months - around 39K kms) But i have checked oil from Toyota and they said oil condition is fine and don't need a change
Spark plug: Never Changed Spark Plugs as Toyota technician said Spark plugs are fine

This is my car history in order to troubleshoot better

Can 20W50 Viscosity Oil can cause this issue... is it possible?

I would suggest you get your "stalling" problem looked at first, it maybe your A/C compressor dragging down the rpm due to high load. The other code I believe is a resultant of this stalling where the transmission stops working while the key is on but some signals are being recieved from the vehicle speed sensor.

Dont use super thick oils in your engine, it will cause it to run badly and you will be paying for a lot of fuel too.

@Xulfiqar I have a W126 S300 1981 (Diesel). Some engine oil's been seeping out (a couple of drops per day). I need to have it checked out by a good mechanic. If I go to Shahnawaz, I'll probably come back with one arm and one leg. Can you recommend a good Mechanic for this car in Karachi who could have a look. I'm looking to get the thing fixed before it becomes a bigger issue.

S300? in 1981?? MB class recognition didnt start until 1994

you own a 300SD - W126 chassis with the 5 cylinder diesel - thats the only car that is close to what you are trying to explain. I would suggest you first clean the engine bay and inspect where the leak is - that way you can know if any mechanic whether the dealer or anyone else is doing the job correctly.

this is the post cat o2 - your PID translator is incorrect in your app. I believe your car has a cat converter in it (not gutted out).

btw - I can see you have been trying to clear the codes by battery disconnect - dont do that - it makes it very hard to diagnose for anyone, the codes and freeze frames are the only tools a mechanic/tech can use to do best diagnosis.

You should make sure the gasket surface is not gouged or damaged or cracked - if it is then nothing will ever seal there. I would suggest you remove the pump first then inspect it very carefully and clean it with a copper blade very gently and evenly, make it smooth and even. Install new gasket and tighten the pump evenly - its not supposed to be super tight.

What i m worried is that how can inspect the current CVT condition. ...I don't know how much damage has been done and how much long will the CVT last. ......Although currently i don't feel any issue during drive. ..no jerks or slip feeling. ......Any thoughts or expert opinion on this?

if you used ATF in CVT - the damage has been done and is not reversible, Im sure the unit takes more than 3 litres oil because almost all suzuki dinky cars use a JATCO transmision which has a torque converter, you will need to flush all the oil out and replace it with new, it will take about 8 litres to flush it.

But dont expect the oil to heal any issues.

My liana's rpm drops when ac is run...the engine keeps on stalling on main roads...without ac it is perfectly fine..ideally the rpm should increase with ac...whats the solution?
