Dear Xulfiqar Bro.
I have a chvrolet Joy 2009 Model. which I bought second hand in 2013. at start the car had brand new tires(Chinese) and there was a very small deflection of car towards LEFT side and I ignored thinking being the problem of alignment and bought the car.
I had checked with Chevrolet motors muntgumry and many other good alignment mechanics but the problem has actually gone worse with the passage of time n I have to hold the steering all the time or the car deflects towards left (more prominent in high speed)
People are actually unable to find the root cause and some says Camber issue som say spring issue and some says tires issue(already changed v less improvement) No major wear n tear on tire due to alignment issue

Can you suggest any thing to look for?

Check the tires for belt dislodge internally. Chinese origin unbranded tires are notorious for being scrap. Also check the lower control arm vertical bushings, if they are soft/loose/torn, they will cause the wheels to splay out.

What steering fluid to use in a baleno 05?

There seems to be a leak since every 3 months or so the level comes down to this minimum but I don't know how big of a problem is it so not going to the mechanic.

IACV usually is a stepper motor .. advancing or retarding accelerator linkage as per requirement .. just reinstall its connector nothing more .. sometimes static charge of body can damage such sensitive part so do not open ... and check vacuum pipes .. throttle body should not be opened and cleaned unless something is really indicating its malfunction

Today i visited Toyota Motors to check issue of High RPM.
They said as previously throttle valve was cleaned without completely removing it, it might be possible that some carbon / deposits move inside and chocking the sensors.
They said problem will be solved by completely opening Throttle Body and cleaning it again.
So should I go with this process? Is it safe and ok to open compete throttle body. I am really worried. I heard that opening Throttle body is a risky task

Dear Zaman,

Just mere cleaning of throttle body by removing air intake and spraying wouldn't help much. You will need to get throttle body dismantled and have it serviced properly. This issue arises due to IACV (Idle Air Control Valve). It's loose connection also causes the same problem or if the valve does not move freely in its chamber (or is sticky), the air intake is not normal which leads to higher or lower RPM. It may also fluctuate RPM because of this.

Try having it serviced through some good workshop. Do remember not every Tom Dick and Harry can do this job properly (as I have had this experience with my City) so do select a good or reputed workshop

Check if the connection to IACV (idle control valve is loose). Problem seem to be related to iacv or some vacuum pipe

Vitz, 2011 model, 60,000km
Its running at higher RPM than normal. Its Throttle Value was cleaned 1 weeks ago with Liqui Moly Throttle Value cleaner. (simply by removing intake hose, without removing throttle)
After cleaning, when started, its Rpm was higher than the normal.
Mechanic suggested to disconnect battery terminal to reset ECU and than start engine and run it for 5 to 10 minutes in idle. But after doing this, same problem remains.
Then he said drive car for 3 to 4 days, it will be adjusted automatically. But after running car for 400km in one week, same issue. Any suggestion or advice?

Been through the same. What has happened is that since the carbon is now gone more air is passing through and you have higher rpm. First of all before doing anything reset the idle rpm. There a process by pak wheels (Google it) and perform that and you'll be good to go. Secondly dp fall in the trap of mechanics, sensors are perfectly fine. Just make sure all the wire leading up to the throttle body are securely connected. There is an airflow sensor on the intake pipe, many mechanics forget to connect it check that too.

You didn't mention how high the rpm is, please provide info on that too?

I personally cleaned the throttle body of my Honda city and after the idle reset it was around 1000-1100 mark but after driving 200 300 km it came down to its normal state.

My Cuore 2000 manual gives long lazy crank when trying to start on hot engine, but starts without problem when engine is cold in morning. Then I press race pedal & it cranks normal & starts. Engine tuning done 1 months ago, tappets adjusted, new plugs & plug wires, new air filter.Starter service done 2 weeks ago.After service of starter now crank is quick,fast in morning but on hot engine it is long.mostly it happens when radiator fan starts & I turn OFF engine & restart car again (fan is auto). Ignition switch is faulty too,last time electrician serviced it but said if problem occurs again then replace it(problem then was engine turning off while car runing but it solved after service of ignition switch). Battery volts early morning 12.5 & when Alternator charging 14.3, battery is 10 months old only AGS, so far only topped up once with AGS tonic.Distributor is kabli electrical & Carburetor is Kabli too with autochoke working. ‎Alternator was replaced with kabli too some months ago as old malfunctioned after car was driven few kilometers on road with high water levels

you need to replace corroded starter cable lugs at both ends [ at battery terminal & starter motor ] and check for possible cracks / corrosion in the cable, change if required.

Sir I will check again but apparently they are in good condition. Terminals are clean as battery is 10 months old only. Overall wiring condition in engine bay & under dashboard, fuses board are in poor condition,many joints with nito tape used,battery negative terminal has many wires connected to it too. I will replace full wiring with kabli ,also will put new ignition switch after engine overhaul work in 2-3 months .
Some other causes I read are bad grounding & compression loss in engine.

I contacted him for this issue but I will first get engine overhaul done, then wiring so that new wiring don't get damaged during overhaul work.

@arzaam.bhatti - your benz also runs the A/C with heater - other than the cooling function, it also has one important job which is dehumidifying. wet hot air is not a nice experience in a car, partly dry warm air is always welcome.

I thought that was limited to true climate controlled cars with duo valves or blend doors etc but thanks for the info

@xulfiqar my BMW x5 with the n62 motor is making a sound which seems to be similar to the video though thats from another make. its a mettalic rattling sound which seems to be coming from the bottom of the engine perhaps to the right, only comes at idle or just above idle at 1000rpm and is loudest when the AC is turned on or power steering moved, stops on revving.

recently the alternator was changed and I started to hear a faint sound then but I had it checked twice with a stethoscope at Dewan and they coudnt find anything wrong said it was normal, the idle tensioner as well as one of the two deflection pulley was changed a as soon as I got the car at dewan brand new and the other deflection pulley was check to be fine so they were sure nothing could be wrong. but the noise has now progressed to be loud enough to hear inside the cabin. could it be that when changing the alternator they forgot to tighten it properly or align it properly and slowly the noise has gotten loud, I have checked all pulleys I could reach at the top of the engine such as waterpump and alternator is brand new so they are not making the noise. noise is not connected to PCV or timing chain so is the idle tensioner loose what should be done?

AOA sir hope you are doing well, i have a question that after the auto gearbox of my car which went bad so i converted it into manual cultus 3 cyl engine gearbox in my charade, the gear makes noise in 1st gear like shhhhh then if i shift it into 2nd then this noise goes off and if the car is sitting idle(neutral and engine started) karr karr karr type of sound comes from it until i press clutch, it actually loads engine as rpm fluctuates and sound of engine changes as i leave clutch. (all gears work fine)
this karr karr type of sound is so annoying, i pored in PSO gear oil maybe GL4 or 5 (2.4 L)
even that auto gearbox worked smooth for years until its gone my bad as i poured in the wrong oil in that auto gear, i still miss that auto gear...

i wnat to know that how one should measure length of an axle as when the wheels are strait what is the ideal position of axle cross in that cup holding that cross?
as the car shakes terribly if i speed more that 40kmpl so i replaced front 2c mount with the mehran front mount now the engine is bit aligned as earlier it was lifted up from the front side now its a bit lowered so now it starts shaking at speed of 60 (the thing embarrass me is that mehran mount can actually sustain torque and weight of of cultus engine coz of it idle vibrations in car is bit reduced, back mount is 2c one)

Bro i have a 2007 corolla
The problem is the fuel consumption
It gives me 6-7 with ac in city and 8 - 9 maxx without ac
Plugs are new
Oil changed on time but there might be smudge in the engine as it has clocked over 150k kms
Coils are fine
No issue with pick
But yes the car feels heavy
The engine the steering gets heavy after ac is turned on
The clutch is pretty hard too but no problem in acceleration
It goes till i want it to go very easily

What should i get checked?

I have a strange problem with my car. The first self is smooth and the car starts normally, however, if during the first self I let go before the car starts and give it another self then it hesitates and sometimes refuses to take the 2nd self, the car acts like the battery is dead but if I wait for 10 15 seconds and then try to start it again then it will start without any problems.

Today I was driving the car and while shifting gears the car turned off, I twist the key and the car starts again no problem. Then after like 3 mins the same thing happens but this time the car doesn't start, I thought the battery is dead. I sat in the car deciding who to call but I tried to start it once more anf the far started as if the battery was new. So confusing.

After getting home I checked the battery voltages and with the car turned off the battery is at 12.28v and with the car running its 14.2v, I think the battery is fine since the voltages appear normal to me. The battery water is fine too.

What could be the problem?
