My car gives sudden jerk(sounds like thak) when i release clutch in 1st and reverse gear...this problem started after changing clutch and pressure plate.clutch and pressure plate are new(Aisin)..other than it car is not showing any problem even at high rpms.....No noise..

hook up a scan tool and interrogate the SRS module, There should be information of lateral acceleration sensor reset.

Did you or the mechanic burnish the clutch disc or just went revving it to feel the "pickup"

are the engine mounts good?

buy a 22mm deep socket, and ask a machinist to mill out a side.

Are you able to see speed on a scan tool?
can you sweep test the gauges with the scan tool?

Engine mounts are good....burnshing is not done......came home after replacing it.....about 200kms driven......
Btw how to burnish it?

First engine......can I use automatic transmission on ir without changing Ecu?

@Xulfiqar my car corolla altis 1.8 2007 has suddenly showed up handbrake and abs light. Brake is working perfectly as it should and brake oil is not low. What can it be?

Aoa @capsat and @Xulfiqar bhai. Have a 2015 Cultus which is 20,000kms driven. The car feels very heavy on acceleration when the AC is on and the pick is also really poor. It performs fine when the AC is turned off. What could be the problem?

remove the aircon belt & test the car, if it is better check: 1. idler pully bearing 2, compressor itself from aircon shop,

The car is in warranty and there is around a week of warranty left. Do you recommend taking it to Suzuki 3s for diagnosis?

Dear Xulfiqar, manual recommends NGK KR6A-10 spark plugs for PKDM Suzuki Wagon R.

Previous owner was using Denso XU22EPR-U plugs (22 transforms to 7 heat range of NGK).

I now installed NGK DCP7E plugs.

Any major issue in using 7 heat range plug instead of 6.

7 is a 'colder' plug as compared to 6, but it is still a "hot" plug.

Also, what's the difference b/w resistor type plug and Projector Insulator type spark plug?

P.S according to my understanding, a colder plug wont heat up as much and thus will retain deposits in the longer run.

Electrician doesn't know how to check lateral speed sensor .
