Agreed stem seals are giving up on no2 cylinder
Assuming that is correct, the bits of carbon from burning oil are glowing red during engine operation causing the metal to flake off. Just keep an eye on it for now.
Ironically, it's been like this for about 3 years now. Last plugs I changed 2 years ago were in same condition
that crust is the oil deposit burned and struck....clean all...install and check after 1000km again for their condition...
Okay
That is why I said, just keep an eye on it, the engine should be okay.
I have an 09 efi Cultus and it has rpm problem . Machenically it is fit . The problem is when AC is turned (on somewhat cold engine ) rpm rises from 800 to 1000 and is stable but after driving a km or 2 the rpm starts to fluctuate 600 to 1200 after driving 3-4 km rpm drops to 0 and engine cuts off . Sometimes even without AC after driving 10+ kms the car SOMETIMES turns off . Throttle body is cleaned spark plugs and it's wires new tappets adjusted and no check engine light . I've done alot of research and I think there could be two problems1 : IAC valve or switch faulty2 : my efi enderstanding mechanic recently suggested it's computer cads is faulty and needs fixing and he is saying the cars AC is not communicating with ECU sort of direct ac but if that's the case car shouldn't be turning off without ACAnyways all the seniors pls help I'm really fed up with this car spen a huge chunk of money since I bought it Also I don't mind spending a bit more as long as the problem is fixed so any suggestions how to be sure that this is the actual problem and in case of computer cost how much should it cost for repair Btw I'm from Karachi and can anyone suggest a good machenic who understand computer circuit and electrical system of cars preferably near Tariq road or gulshan
have you checked the iacv?
Yes the mechanic was saying it's working properly but I am still double minded . If you can tell me all the symptoms of it malfunction . I personally think with what knowledge I have is that iacv is what's causing the problem .
My previous mechanic told me that iacv is working fine but the black module that's connected next to it is faulty and I should replace it in fact he changed it with one that he had lying around saying koi bhi kaam Kar Sakta he but upon some research I found out that if the black module was not working I would get a check engine light
buy an elm327 obd2 tool bluetooth based it's not expensive, scan the car and see what it does before dying. it will tell you about the working of iacv as well.
I think my mechanic would have it as he specialises in efi and computer stuff so I'll ask him to use it before doing eny work . Because even if I buy it I won't be able to use it
Btw he did used some large scanner size of a tablet with built in display ( I know nothing about it not its name and neighter it's specs) but that didn't show any error code
you don't have to see error codes. you need to go through live data. ask him to.
Ok I'll do that . Can you guide me for what to look for ? Just so I know what is going on
Main things you need to see are IACV and fuel trims. Record if you can and share here.
Thanks alot I'll visit the mechanic and share the data asap
What if some bolt fell with engine oil in mehran? What to do ?
Wait till it starts making noise, pinpoint which piston it's on, open the crank case, and from underneath replace that piston
