@XULFIQAR and all other experienced members, i have honda city 1.3 manual 2011 model silver color 82k driven and in mint condition. The problem i am facing is that on some panels like the rear right fender and the front left fender, the top laquer coating is fading away and it is becoming yellow and spots of laquer fading/cracking... i do not want to get my panel repainted. Silver colors are notorious for such paint fading issues. Do i need to repaint the whole panels or is there any way to just restore the top laquer clear coat layer. Need opinions for respected members 🇵🇰
Your idea will never work, the clearcoat has delaminated from the paint, it needs the whole area repainted and refinished.
@Xulfiqar Is ultrasonic injector cleaning worth it on a car with 100k km mileage? or should I just try the fuel system cleaner additive by Liqui Moly?
Why do you want to clean the injectors? Do you have a proven leak or failure?
This is very first stage of clear coat failure. In my opinion there is absolutely no need to re-paint these two pieces. Just go to refresh the clear coat of these two pieces from paint guy.
He will take a fine quality sand papers like 600-800 grit and very slowly will remove the damage layer of clear coat until base coat becomes visible. Then will re-fresh it with 2-3 coats of Lacquer+Hardner. Its like one day job.
The car is 11 years old with 100k km on it. It idles smoothly but sometimes when accelerating from slow speed it jerks for a few seconds, so trying to fix that.
Thank you so much. I will consult some good denter painter in isb and hopefully i can avoid repaint if possible... but i think i need to sell the car after a year if i feel the laquer from other parts face similar issues before the car value drops
Try using half tank hi octance first... high octance helps cleaning the internals sometimes... if it doesnt work, then go to other solutions
What have you done so far to try and fix it
@Xulfiqar What is your view on Denso 'cool gear' line of filters. As per my knowledge Denso is also the OEM for toyota but their filters available in market are of cool gear lineup. I didnt find much info on it.
Since when is hi octane fuel a cleaning agent?
Denso cool gear line is for cooling system parts and air conditioning parts. Ive not seen an engine air filter under cool gear brand.
That's the thing causing me doubts. Here oil filter, fuel filters, air filters etc packing have cool gear mentioned
Here's one example. Even some int'l sites have these listed
It maybe a zonal issue then, here in usa, coolgear only is for cooling and hvac parts.
I have consulted my painter and as Xulfiqar sb said, the panels need to be repainted
There is no other way to restore this as the clear has delaminated from the paint. Trying to reclear this is a waste of time as it will look extremely ugly and will peel off extremely quickly too.
There is no way to restore this other than repainting it properly.
AoaHope you are fine with good health
I have 1zzfe in corolla 2010 My fuel average is drop to 6 kmlI open the spark plug its same as i found the picture on internet i forget to take the picture

@Xulfiqar Our civic rebirth is 100+k km driven now. Wanted to get engine tuning done e.g. throttle body cleaning, maf sensor. What else should I get done? fuel injectors?
Already changed spark plugs, brake oil, engine oil, clutch oil.
Nothing100k kms is very young and if there is no issues or problems, keep on driving
Honda are very long life vehicles,
If you really really want to spend that money, keep it in an accrual account for actual repairs.
