Mosquitoes belong to the insect family, yes, but the insect family belongs to the phylum Anthrpodia which in turn belongs to the kingdom Animalia, which makes the mosquito an animal.

Technically yes. Insects came under Animalia as per my 6th grade general science book, but that was long ago.

However, on the same lines photos of people can be posted here as well as they, technically, also come under the animal kingdom. Even if you don't consider human animals, some of them may come under "wildlife" with the way they behave.

Non-Human animals would've been correct...But WTH, everyone knows what animals are, lighten up.
