Jeep fares always needs to bargain ..plus normally ppl leave there cars in astore or at max Chilum chokki and take jeeps from there for Deosai... Also for lake jeep is good option

My next plan is in august so update us if someone going before with pictures .

Friends, If anybody had visited Astore to Sheosar lake recently i.e in Jun-17 and Jul-17 please share current situation related to Bridges under construction on dangerous streams crossing the Astore Dieosai road. As bro "Stonedsaint" said above its doable to reach Sheosar Lake on H.City if one drives very carefully just want to know the current situation is it the same or things has been changed.

Here are some pics showing you current situation of roads (as of June 2017)

Jeep from PTDC to lake is not possible because there are two glaciers on the track and you must leave the jeep on first glacier, which is probably 30 minutes hike from PTDC. The rest 1:30 hours, you must do by walk/hike. Remember to take wooden sticks with you as it is difficult to walk on the glacier without any support.

I didn't go to Deosai side so can not comment.

I just returned from Minimarg, and typing this message from Astore...
Naran to Chilas road: Cars can easily travel on it. Road after Raikot is very neat.
KKH to Astore road: First 5/10-KM and last 5/10KM are smooth, the rest of the road is in bad shape but cars can easily make it.
Astore to Chillum: Except 1 or 2 patches (caused by some previous water), most of the road is manageable by cars.

One advice:
Be very careful in the turns between KKH to Deosai, missed by one tractor, and motorcycles. Due to boom in tourism (last two years) the tractor drivers have been upgraded to jeep-drivers, and so on. Don't simply rent a jeep at affordable price, look at the vehicle's physical condition, driver's experience/ safety record etc. I rented a jeep to and from Minimarg, the driver was very experienced, I offered to give Him free marketing on Facebook and Pakwheels until He bluffed me for the sake of RS: 1,300; hence, I never bothered to take His phone number, and He lost at least RS: 100,000/ year.

استور کی سیر (1)

الحمدللہ استور کی سیر بخیریت مکمل ہوئی۔ حسب سابق احباب کے فائدے کے لئے کچھ متعلقہ معلومات قلمبند کی جاتی ہیں۔ عمومی "ھدایات و احتیاطیں" پچھلے سال "خنجراب کی سیر" والی ہی ہیں لہذا دھرانا تحصیل حاصل ہوگا۔ البتہ ٹور پلان اور اخراجات کی کچھ تفصیلات بتائی جارہی ہیں۔ ٹور پلان کی اہمیت یہ ہے کہ اکثر لوگ مختلف مقامات کے ناموں سے تو واقف ہوتے ہیں مگر ان علاقوں کی سیر کی پلاننگ سے واقف نہیں ہوتے جو پریشانی اور وقت کے ضیاع کا باعث بنتی ہے۔ٹور پلان
استور کی سیر کا ٹور پلان اس بات پر منحصر ہے کہ آپ نے راستے میں آنے والے کون سے علاقے پہلے دیکھ رکھے ہیں، مثلا ناران اور اس کے ارد گرد کے علاقے۔ میں نے پچھلے سال ان علاقوں کی سیر کی تھی مگر اس سال بھائی صاحب بمعہ فیملی کراچی سے سیر کے لئے تشریف لائے تھے اور انہوں نے کوئی بھی علاقہ نہیں دیکھا تھا لہذا ٹور میں ناران وغیرہ کو بھی شامل کیا گیا۔ جن احباب نے یہ علاقے دیکھ رکھے ہوں وہ درج ذیل پلان کو اپنے حساب سے ایڈجسٹ کرسکتے ہیں۔ دوسری بات یہ کہ درج ذیل پلان اسلام آباد/پنڈی کو ابتدائی مقام کے طور پر فرض کرتا ہے۔- پہلا دن
صبح 6 بجے گھر سے نکلئے اور براستہ ایبٹ آباد، مانسہرہ، بالاکوٹ آٹھ گھنٹے میں ناران پہنچئے۔ صبح سویرے نکلنا اس لئے ضروری ہے تاکہ آپ ایبٹ آباد و مانسہرہ وغیرہ کے ٹریفک رش سے بچ سکیں۔ راستے میں حسب ذوق اچھے مقامات پر رکتے ہوئے جائیے کیونکہ سیر کا مقصد بھاگم دوڑ مچانا نہیں بلکہ انجوائے کرنا ہوتا ہے اور آپ اسی لئے تو گھر سے نکلے ہیں۔ راستے میں ایسا ایک قابل ذکر مقام بالاکوٹ اور کاغان کے درمیان "پارس" (مالاکنڈی کا علاقہ) آتا ہے جہاں سڑک دریائے کنہار کے بالکل قریب آجاتی ہے اور وہاں آپ دریا کے ایک طرف بیٹھ کر ٹھنڈا پانی انجوائے کرسکتے ہیں۔ یہ مخصوص مقام ایک پل سے اترتے ہی آتا ہے، جونہی آپ پل سے اتریں گے دریا آپ کے دائیں طرف ہوگا، بہت سے لوگ یہاں رکتے ہیں مگر آپ کو وہاں رکنے کے بجائے کوئی دو تین سو میٹر آگے رکنا چاہئے جہاں دوبارہ ایک پل کراس کرنے کے بعد دریا آپ کے بائیں طرف ہوگا۔ اس طرف ڈھابہ ھوٹل والوں نے دریا کنارے چارپائیاں لگا رکھی ہیں۔ ناران پہنچنے کے بعد سامان کسی مناسب ھوٹل میں رکھ کر شام دریائے کنہار کنارے گزارئیے۔ ناران میں کھانے کے بہت سے ھوٹل ہیں، "مون ریسٹورنٹ" کافی مشہور ہے البتہ اس کے مقابلے میں مجھے "پنجاب تکہ ھاؤس" والوں کا کھانا زیادہ بہتر لگا۔ خیر یہ اپنے اپنے ذوق کی بات ہے۔
- دوسرا دن
دوسرے روز آپ "لالہ زار" اور "جھیل سیف الملوک" دیکھئے۔ لالہ زار ایک سبز میدان نما مقام ہے جہاں جانے والے آخری پانچ کلومیٹر بہت خراب اور ایڈونچر والے ہیں۔ اسی طرح جھیل کا راستہ بھی انتہائی خراب ہے۔ لالہ زار ناران شہر سے پون گھٹے کی مسافت پر ہے اور اسی طرح جھیل بھی۔ صبح آٹھ نو بجے پہلے لالہ زار جائیے، دوپہر ایک بجے تک نیچے اتر کر جھیل کی طرف چلے جائیے جہاں آپ دوپہر کا کھانا کھا سکتے ہیں۔ شام کو ناران واپس آجائیے۔
- تیسرا روز
اس روز آپ نے استور پہنچنا ہے جو ناران سے تقریبا 225 کلو میٹر اور آٹھ سے نو گھنٹے کی مسافت پر واقع ہے (یہ گلگت کا ایک ضلع ہے)۔ لہذا سفر کا آغاز صبح سات بجے کے قریب کیجئے۔ ناشتہ راستے میں "بیسر" کے مقام پر واقع مون ریسٹورنٹ سے بھی کیا جاسکتا ہے (یہ ناران سے ڑیڑھ گھنٹے کی مسافت پر ہے) مگر اب اس سے پہلے بھی کچھ مقامات پر نہایت اچھے ھوٹلز بن گئے ہیں۔ اس سے دو تین کلو میٹر آگے "للو سر جھیل" آئے گی اور پھر پچیس تیس منٹ کی مسافت کے بعد پہاڑوں کی چوٹیوں سے باتیں کرنے والا وادی کاغان کا بلند ترین مقام "بابو سر پاس" آئے گا (اس کی بلندی لگ بھگ 14 ہزار فٹ) ہے۔ اس مقام پر رک کر آس پاس کی گہری وادیوں کے نظاروں سے محظوظ ہوکر چلاس کی طرف اترنا شروع کیجئے۔ چلاس موڑ سے دائیں ہاتھ مڑنے کے بعد آپ قراقرم ھائی وے پر آجائیں گے۔ چلاس سے لے کر رائے کوٹ پل تک 50 کلومیٹر کی سڑک کا کچھ حصہ خاصا مخدوش ہے، خصوصا "تتا پانی" کے علاقے میں (اس علاقے کو تتا پانی اس لئے کہتے ہیں کیونکہ یہاں پہاڑوں سے گرم پانی کے چھوٹے چھوٹے چشمے بہتے ہیں (بندے نے چھو کر تجربہ کیا، پانی واقعی خاصا گرم تھا)۔ لوگ کہتے ہیں اس علاقے میں کوئی آتش فشاں ہے۔ یہ علاقہ لینڈ سلائیڈنگ کے لئے بھی بہت مشہور ہے اور اس کی وجہ یہاں کے ریتیلے پہاڑ ہیں۔ کچھ سال قبل تک قراقرم ھائی وے اس مقام پر کئی کئی روز تک بند رہتی تھی اور دونوں طرف ٹرک وغیرہ پھنس جاتے مگر اب یہاں سڑک کلئیر کرنے کے لئے ہمہ وقت ھیوی مشینری موجود رہتی ہے (شاید سی پیک کی "برکت" ہو!)
رائے کوٹ پل کے بعد کارپٹڈ سڑک کا آغاز ہوجاتا ہے۔ رائے کوٹ پل سے کوئی پندرہ کلومیٹر آگے "تھلیچی" کے مقام سے قراقرم ھائی وے سے دائیں ھاتھ استور کی طرف جانے والی سڑک الگ ہوجاتی ہے (وہاں سائن بورڈ نصب ہے)۔ اس مقام سے استور اگرچہ 42 کلومیٹر ہے مگر سڑک کا اکثر حصہ مخدوش ہونے کی وجہ سے کم از کم دو سے ڈھائی گھنٹے لگ جائیں گے۔ یہاں ذھن میں یہ سوال آئے گا کہ "کیا یہاں گاڑی لے جانا مناسب ہے؟" اس سوال پر میں آگے الگ سے گفتگو کروں گا۔ قراقرم ھائی وے چھوڑنے کے ایک دو کلومیٹر بعد وہ مقام آئے گا جہاں استور کی طرف سے بہنے والا "دریائے استور" دریائے سندھ میں ضم ہوجاتا ہے۔ استور کی طرف جانے والی سڑک مخدوش ہونے کے علاوہ زیادہ کشادہ بھی نہیں لہذا احتیاط سے ڈرائیو کی ضرورت ہے (سڑک کے ساتھ بہنے والے دریائے استور کا بہاؤ اس قدر تیز ہے کہ خدانخواستہ کسی حادثے کی صورت میں یہ بہاؤ گاڑی کو اس مقام تک بہا کر لے جانے کی صلاحیت رکھتا ہے جہاں گاڑی کسی چٹان یا بڑے پتھر کے ساتھ ٹکرا کر پھنس جائے۔ اسے "ڈرانا" نہ سمجھئے، "محتاط کرانا" سمجھئے)۔
استور شہر پہنچ کر آپ کو اسی روز سات کلومیٹر اوپر واقع "راما" کے مقام پہنچنا چاہئے۔ اگر آپ صبح 7 بجے ناران سے نکلیں تو 3 بجے تک استور شہر پہنچ سکتے ہیں۔ شہر پہنچنے پر راما کی طرف جانے والی سڑک کے بارے میں کسی مقامی سے پوچھ لیجئے کیونکہ یہ سڑک کچھ موڑ مڑنے کے بعد آتی ہے۔ راما میڈوز کے خوبصورت مقام پر پی ٹی ڈی سی (PTDC) کا خوبصورت ھوٹل واقع ہے (یہ اس مقام پر واقع واحد ہوٹل ہے، اس کے علاقہ محکمہ جنگلات اور PWD والوں کے ریسٹ ھاؤسز بھی ہیں مگر وہ عام پبلک کے لئے نہیں)۔ استور شہر سے راما تک پون گھنٹے کا سفر ہے اور یہ سڑک خاصی مخدوش الحال، تنگ سی اور چڑھائیوں والی ہے۔ کہنے کا مقصد یہ کہ یہاں ماہرانہ ڈرائیونگ کی ضرورت ہے۔
اگر آپ 4 بجے تک راما پہنچ جاتے ہیں تو بذریعہ جیب وغیرہ مزید اوپر "راما جھیل" دیکھ آئیے۔ آنے جانے سمیت یہ کوئی ڑیڑھ دو گھنٹے کا ٹرپ ہے۔ اور اگر دیر ہوجائے تو بذات خود راما میڈوز ہی کو انجوائے کیجئے۔ راما میڈوز سے آپ "نانگا پربت" پہاڑ کی بیک سائیڈ ملاحظہ کرسکتے ہیں، مگر یہاں سے اس کی پیک کا نظارہ ممکن نہیں (نانگا پربت پاکستان کی دوسری اور دنیا کی نویں بلند ترین چوٹی ہے)۔
پی ٹی ڈی سی میں عام طور پر ایڈوانس بکنگ کروانا پڑتی ہے اور یہ نسبتا مہنگا بھی ہے (ڈبل بیڈ چھ ھزار روپے فی یوم)۔ اگر آپ کو یہاں بکنگ نہ ملے یا آپ افورڈ نہ کرسکیں تو استور و راما کے راستے میں "راما مڈ وے گیسٹ ھاؤس" یا "وزیر گیسٹ ھاؤس" میں قیام کرسکتے ہیں (اول الذکر تقریبا درمیان میں جبکہ موخر الذکر مزید اوپر جاکر واقع ہے)۔ یہاں سامان رکھ کر آپ پھر راما جاسکتے ہیں۔
وہ حضرات جو ناران جانے میں دلچسپی نہیں رکھتے وہ ٹور پلان میں یہ تبدیلی کرلیں کہ پہلی رات "ناران" یا "چلاس" شہر میں قیام کریں اور پھر دوسرے روز استور چلے جائیں۔ ایک مزید پھرتیلا امکان یہ بھی ہے کہ آپ رات 3 بجے اسلام آباد سے نکلیں اور اگلے روز شام 6 بجے تک استور پہنچ جائیں! البتہ یہ خاصا تھکا دینا والا پلان ہوگا۔

• چوتھا دن
  اس روز آپ کو "دیوسائی" جانا چاہئے۔ البتہ پہلے یہ بات سمجھ لیجئے کہ تیسری رات پی ٹی ڈی سی (یا راما کے قریب کسی ھوٹل) میں گزارنے کے بعد چوتھی صبح آپ کو سامان سمیت استور شہر اتر کر کسی ھوٹل میں قیام کرنا چاہئے۔ اسکی کئی وجوہات ہیں۔ ایک یہ کہ استور شہر سے راما کی طرف اترنے اور چڑھنے میں پون گھنٹہ لگ جاتا ہے، نیز یہ سفر بھی دشوار اور بے ڈھنگا سا ہے لہذا اسے بار بار کرنے کا کوئی فائدہ نہیں بلکہ ضیاع اوقات اور لاحاصل مشقت ہے۔ لہذا چوتھی صبح آپ نیچے شہر آجائیں تاکہ آپ کا وقت بچ سکے۔ سیاحت کی قلت کی بنا پر استور شہر میں بس گزارے لائق ھوٹلز ہی میسر ہیں (اس کی بڑی وجہ یہاں کی مخدوش سڑکیں ہیں)۔ راما کی سڑک اترتے ہی ساتھ "کامران ھوٹل" یا "ڈریم لینڈ ھوٹل" میں قیام کیا جاسکتا ہے (کرایوں پر الگ سے بات کرتے ہیں)۔ استور شہر سے جیپ وغیرہ بک کروا کر دیوسائی کی طرف سفر شروع کیجئے۔دیوسائی دنیا کا دوسرا بڑا اور بلند ترین پہاڑی میدان (پلیچیو) ہے۔ استور شہر سے دیوسائی جانے کے لئے آپ گوری کوٹ، گدئی، آئی گاہ وغیرہ کے علاقوں سے گزرتے ہوئے "چلم چوکی" کے مقام پر پہنچیں گے۔ چلم کے مقام پر ایک فوجی چوکی ہے اور یہ مقام استور شہر سے تقریبا 60 کلومیٹر اور دو سے ڈھائی گھنٹے کی مسافت پر ہے۔ یہاں سے سیدھا اوپر جانے والی سڑک "برزل پاس" سے ہوتی ہوئی "منی مارگ" و "دومیل" کی طرف جاتی ہے (اسے فی الحال اگنور کیجئے)۔ یہاں سے بائیں طرف جانے والی سڑک دیوسائی کے میدان کی طرف جاتی ہے۔ دھیان رہے کہ چلم چوکی کا مقام بھی ایک پرفضا اور خوبصورت مقام ہے جہاں آپ کچھ وقت کے لئے رک سکتے ہیں، مگر دیوسائی سے قبل اس مقام کی حیثیت کھانے سے قبل سرو کئے جانے والے ٹھنڈے مشروب وغیرہ سے کچھ زیادہ نہیں۔ استور سے چلم کی طرف جاتے ہوئے سڑک کے ساتھ انتیائی شفاف پانی کا چشمہ چلتا ہے جو منی مارگ کی طرف سے بہتا ہے۔چلم چوکی سے کچھ آگے جاکر دیوسائی نیشنل پارک کا انٹری پوائنٹ آجائے گا (آج کل انٹری ٹکٹ فی کس 100 روپے ہے)۔ استور سے لے کر چلم چوکی تک سڑک پختہ ہے، البتہ کئی مقامات پر خاصے بڑے کھڈے وغیرہ بھی آتے رہتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح چلم چوکی سے آٹھ دس کلومیٹر اوپر (چھچھور بنگلے) تک بھی سڑک پختہ ہے، اس کے بعد سڑک نامی مخلوق گدھے کے سر سے سینگ کی طرح ہمیشہ کے لئے غائب ہوجاتی ہے اور پھر پتھریلے راستے کے ایک طویل سفر کا آغاز ہوجاتا ہے۔ یہ سفر ہے دیوسائی کے میدانوں کا۔ دیوسائی کو اگر کم سے کم الفاظ میں بیان کرنا ہو تو میں اس کے لئے "Wonder land" کی تعبیر اختیار کروں گا۔ پہاڑوں کی چوٹیوں سے باتیں کرنے والا تین ھزار مربع کلومیٹر پر محیط یہ ھرا بھرا میدان انسان کو حیرت میں ڈال دیتا ہے۔ تاحد نگاہ پھیلے ہوئے وسیع و عریض پہاڑی میدان دیکھ کر انسان کے ذھن میں اس کے بارے میں واقعی یہی خیال گزرتا ہے: "دیوسائی" (The Land of Giants)۔ دیوسائی کے میدان میں داخل ہونے کے بعد پہلا اہم مقام "شیو سر جھیل" ہے جو چلم چوکی سے لگ بھگ ڑیڑھ گھنٹے کی مسافت پر ہے۔ تھکا دینے والے اس سفر کے دوران جب ھرے بھرے میدانوں کے بیچوں بیچ واقع اس جھیل پر پہلی نظر پڑتی ہے تو اس کا نیلا رنگ دیکھ کر انسان دم بخود رہ جاتا ہے۔ جھیل سے پون گھنٹے (تقریبا 10 کلومیٹر) کی مسافت پر "کالا پانی" (یا چھوٹا پانی) کا مقام ہے اور اس کے مزید پون گھنٹے بعد "بڑا پانی" کا مقام آتا ہے۔ اگر آپ استور کی طرف سے دیوسائی جاتے ہیں تو آپ کو اس مقام تک جانا چاہئے۔ اس کے بعد پھر آپ سکردو کی طرف اترسکتے ہیں جہاں راستے میں "ست پارہ جھیل" آتی ہے۔ چونکہ فی الوقت استور کی سیر ہورہی ہے لہذا "بڑا پانی" سے آگے کے مقامات سے سہو نظر کیجئے۔نوٹ کرنے کی اہم ترین بات یہ ہے کہ استور شہر سے بڑا پانی تک رکتے رکاتے جاتے ہوئے آپ کو کم از کم چھ گھنٹے لگ جائیں گے۔ شیوسر جھیل، کالا پانی اور بڑا پانی ہر ایک مقام پر کھانے کے چھوٹے چھوٹے ھٹ نما ھوٹلز بنے ہوئے ہیں اور پلاسٹک کے بوتھ نما باتھ رومز بھی۔ البتہ دیوسائی جاتے ہوئے آپ کو کھانے کے لئے کچھ نہ کچھ ھلکا پھلکا سامان ساتھ رکھ کر چلنا چاھئے کیونکہ زیادہ رش ہونے کی صورت میں کھانا نہ ملنے کا رسک بھی ہوسکتا ہے۔ بڑا پانی سے استور شہر واپسی پر تقریبا چار ساڑے چار گھنٹے درکار ہونگے۔ یوں سمجھئے کہ "استور- دیوسائی (بڑا پانی) - استور" کی سیر کل ملا کر گیارہ گھنٹے کی متقاضی ہے۔ لہذا صبح آٹھ نو بجے سیر کی ابتداء کیجئے تاکہ واپسی پر رات نہ ہو (ہماری گاڑی والا گیارہ بجے آیا جسکی وجہ سے ھمیں کافی تکلیف ہوئی تھی)۔

اسلام علیکم محترم گریٹ لاجکس گرم پانی کسی آتش فشاں کی وجہ سے نہیں بلکہ سلفر یعنی گندک ک وجہ سے آتا ہے گلگت بلتستان میں اور جگہوں سے بھی زیرے پہاڑ گندک کی وجہ سے گرم پانی نکلتا ھے اور لوگ دور دور سے جلدی بیماریوں کی وجہ سے نہانے آتے ہیں

These turns are a bit narrow, and the motorcycle as well as tractor drivers cross it carelessly. Drive vigilantly in these turns, as You can't see anything coming from the other side. While I was driving, I barely missed an overspeed tractor making turns on these narrow roads.

Dear All,
Is Astore expensive town with respect to food items. I mean, Is Chicken meat, vegetables available at normal rates or its expensive. Why I asking these question ? the reason is I have intention to cook our own food specially dinner while staying in PTDC Rama for three nights to get the taste, to enjoy and obviously to save some bucks.
Okey ! what your take on this, will it be a wise decision or you guys want me to stick with PTDC kitchen cuisine.

We friends just complete the tour for Astore,PTDC Rama & lake,Deosai & khnujrab 5 day ago. It was a wonderful & great time. Astore road is fine for every vehicle & no worry & in my opinion you should park your vehicle at any hotel parking & hire any NCP Car or jeep for PTDC Rama. They started construction work on Rama Road & due to this mud is every where & mostly point car get hit on ground. But with great care you can take your vehicle to Rama like us

1) Rama PTDC to Lake on Surf Rs.1500-
2) Rama PTDC to Bhara Pani Deosai Rs.12,000- on Surf

Just couple of little queries, In rate list we can see Car is mentioned. What brand and model Car is this which can reach to Bara Pani in deosai.
An do you have rate list of food menu of PTDC as well, if not whats your comment on my post above copying here for you.

Welcome.Well we stayed 2 nights at PTDC Rama but their restaurant food quality is dumb & full waste of money. Just 1 km ahead of PTDC, in surrounding of jeep parking & camps there are good dabas with enough food stock.We order chicken karahi & daal etc & paid Rs.1700- At least karachi taste was 300 % better than ptdc rama kitchen. So dot try to eat any thing from them. & if want to cook by your self then food can be purchased from Astore bazar. Rate are slight above from Isb/Rwl but still easily bearable.
There are different car running on Rama & Deosai like old shape fielder, Saloon, Gli. Some are very good maintained & some roughly used.Every one of them car reach bhara pani . I saw ppl who take their ride Mehran,City,Civic Cultus on sheosar lake but still it can be great risk. Road is good till further 2 or 3 km ahead of Chillam chowki but some patches after are in bad mood. Small stones can be dangerous for oil chamber. At least if you are traveling with family & to enjoy completely, hire some good vehicle but it just my opinion which i felt.

Road condition of Kohistan and Chilas area is very bad for a car with exception of few Km before Chillas, that will cause big Depreciation in your Vehicle.
when u leave KKH to go Astore, initial one hour drive is too dangerous for a Lahori driver, bcz of Narrow road on which often only one vehicle at a time can move. besides some times u have to reverse if a truck is coming from front.
On way to Chillam from Astore there r many Stream water which any car can not cross in the case of rain for upto 10 hour.
Go on Car if you're confident on your driving and feel okay about vehicle depreciation as it opens many maintenace work.
you can also get Fj60 restored and alterated landcruiser with driver for a week including fuel in around 40,000 to 50,000 , contact 0311-1555447

Lets have quick recap:

Road Conditions (Can Honda City 2016 handle it)
1) From Babuser top to Chillas [No issues but drive in low gears with care on turns, check breaks while going down]
2) From Chillas to Raikot bridge [Road is rough with occasional land slides but car can easily make it]
3) From KKH to Astore Town [Rough, narrow, dusty road, Sometimes you have to reverse your car to let truck pass coming from front, First 5/10-KM and last 5/10KM are bit smoother, initial one hour drive demands real Careful driving since Tractor Drivers and Bikers are very careless on turns can give you surprise, use hard tiers and keep tier pressure at 32psi to void tier bust while passing potholes since they contains share edged stones. Cars can make it, no big issue except if road is blocked due to any recent land slide]
4) Astore to PTDC [Narrow, Mixed mud and carpeted road which is also under construction these days i.e Jul-17, car like city may get hit from below so one must be very careful while passing rough patches. Steep road demands consistent momentum while going uphill, Doable for Cars but one can also park car in Astore and hire jeep to visit PTDC Rama but in my case "Doable for Cars" :)]
5) Astore to Chillum Choki [Road is okey, no big issue except erosion due to water streams and at couple of places cars do struggle with water crossing the road due to recent rain fall in last 10hrs. Careful driving required since again Truck/tractor drivers and bikers may give you challenge on sharp turns. Rest is fine, manageable for cars]
6) Chillum Choki to Sheosar Lake [first 5 to 8Km is no issue but after that carpeted track vanished and mud track starts which give real hard time to cars, just before Sheosar lake road gets steep and narrow and need skill full driving while avoiding the stones hitting the bottom of car. But people do managed to take their cars to sheosar lake like Civic, City, Mehran and Cultus. Can do it with extreme care but hard to reach there cleanly]

a) From PTDC Astore to RamaLake [ Surf Rs 1500, Brother Riaz posted snapshot of rate list above thread]
b) From Astore to Shausar Lake [Jeep Surf Rs 11,000]
c) Froom Astore to Bara pani [Jeep Surf Rs 12,000]
[Check vehicle condition first before hiring and also try to get feedback about driver's skills since there are so many seasonal drivers upgraded from Tractor and Bike driving to Jeep/Surf driving]

• Food
  a) In Astore Town [Hotels are available with ready food. Chicken meat, Vegetables are also available on little higher price compare to Rwl/Isb if one wish to cook his/her own food.]
  b) In PTDC Rama [Big NO rather go to 1Km ahead of PTDC where Jeep driver parks vehicles near Dhaba where Chicken Karhai with daal is available in Rs 1700 for 4-5 family members and taste is good.]

This is what I understood with experience and advises you Guys shared on the thread. I'm still open for more and appreciate your input to further refine it.

Came back after 7 days trip started on Sat 5th Aug 17 at 9PM and return at Sat 12th Aug 17 at 11PM.
Route:
a) Lhr - Hassan Abadal through GT Road
b) Hassan Abdal - Mansehra - Shinkiari - Behsham - Dassu - Chillas - Raikot Bridge - Astore Turn through KKH
c) Astore turn - Astore Town through Astore Valley Road
d) Astore - Ram PTDC through Rama Road
e) Rama PTDC - Chilum Chowki through Astore Valley Road
f) Chilum Chowki - Sheosir Lake through Deosai Road and return to Astore Rama
g) Astore - Hunza - Sust - Khunjrab Pass through KKH
h) Khunjrab Pass - Gilgit - Chillas through KKH
i) Chillas - Babuser Top - Naraan - Mansehra through N15
j) Mansehra - Hassan Abdal through KKH
k) Hassan Abdal - Islamabad - Lahore through GT Road.

Above all traveling done on Honda City Car

Total distance covered 2,630 Km
Fuel Expense: Rs 15,000

Day 1: Started journey on Sat 5th Aug 8PM from Lahore
Day 2: Sun 6th Aug 8AM reached Behsham taken 1.5 hrs rest at PTDC Behsham. Started journey again at 9:30 AM and reached Astore at 7PM same day, night stayed at PWD rest house Astore.
Day 3: Mon 7th Aug 11AM reached PTDC Rama, moved around in Rama Meadows
Day 4: Tue 8th Aug 8AM went to Deosai Sheoser Lake and came back to rama same day by 6PM. night stay at PTDC rama.
Day 5: Wed 9th Aug 8:30AM started journey towards Sust and reached there at 4PM. Night stay at PTDC Sust while having 1hr stay at Hunza.
Day 6: Thu 10th Aug 7AM went to Khunjrab Pass and return by 11:30AM to sust PTDC. Started journey to Gilgit and reach PTDC gilgit at 5PM while short stay at Hunza too. Night stay at PTDC Gilgit.
Day 7: Fri 11th Aug started journey to Chillas and reach there by 11AM and after confirming car can cross landslide between chillas and babuser top taken route of N15 and after short stay at babuser top reached Naraan by 3PM. Went to Saif-ul-malook (on Jeep, fare Rs.1500) and return by 5:30PM. Keep going and reach Islamabad relative's house by 11PM.Night stay in Islamabad.
Day 8: Sat 12th Aug visited Rawal lake, Zoo, Museum and reached Lahore home by 10 PM.

Road Conditions (Can Honda City 2016 handle it)
NO ISSUES AT ALL for Automatic Car like Honda City 2016
Related to driving skills anybody who visited Nathia Galli twice can easily manage it all you need to know a) where the front tiers of your vehicle is and b) one must not lose control by over speeding. If you do both (a) and (b) it will be piece of cake.

May be I was lucky i didn't encounter big streams while going to chilum chowki and Deosai. They might have dry down by the month of August or there was also no rain while I was there. At only one place I came out of car to see how should I cross the stream and that was between Chilum Chowki and Sheosir Lake and done it quire easily without hurting the bottom of the car.

In the end I would like to thank all who giving me valuable guideline and shared their experiences with special thanks to Mr Naveed/Riaz with out his help I could have taken Naraan N15 route instead of KKH and got myself stuck in Naraan due to landslide between Babuser top and chillas.
