Bro, high quality parts and good quality check costs money. The resource problems like electricity, gas, fuel prices, unstable currency, skilled labor are other issues which add to cost. Since some, if not all, Yamaha bike models from the Karachi plant will be sold in Pakistan, they have to cut down price according to the affordability of Pakistani consumer. That means shortcuts and quality reduction. How many people will be willing to pay 250-400K for a 150CC quality bike? Or 500-750K+ for a 250CC bike like Inazuma? I don't see plethora of Inzumas running around despite being available from Pak Suzuki, what to talk of higher displacement bikes like CBR500, Bandit 650, Intruder 800, etc. People prefer buying used abused bikes in this range instead of new bikes with latest technologies.
The consumer demographic here want dirt low price, sporty show-shaw look, loud growling engine with sports silencers/exhausts, ample power to haul 5 people on two person seat, low repair/maintenance cost and desire of "poora meter maarna" with unsafe and irresponsible riding. These desires are contradictory. People are hoping Yamaha will bring a revolutionary era for biking in Pakistan. I am sorry to say but considering the past, these are false hopes. For true biking revolution in Pakistan, people need to change their own desires/attitude, learn to live with what they can afford and understand that quality and technology costs money.
No offense intended to any passionate biker.
