Audi A3 First Impressions

The fact of the matter is that Audi PK are selling a better (spec) car at a lower cost compared to the likes of Merc and BMW.
Charging more than competitors just to 'keep the spirit' of the vehicle alive through a bigger power plant is idiotic. That'll lead to the opposite of Audi PK's main objective of highest luxury sales.
TL;DR: It's a competitive market where money is everything. These are luxury sedans not sports cars. Audi is winning.

^^ That's very positive attitude. A6 is a different category compared to A3. Personally, if I had the money to deal with the itch, I would have bought the A3 with 1.2L. Bhai, Audis are not for people like me (in Pakistan). Here you have to think over and over again and coin in factors such as:
1. Fuel consumption
2. Fuel Cost (Hi Octane is supported)
3. Cost of registration (1.2L vs 1.8L)
4. Additional packages (costly)
5. People eyeing with bad intentions.

I think this time reg cost wud be less now as withholding tax has been removed in this 2015-16......i wud personally suggest u to get 1.8tfsi as 1.2tfsi is lil underpowered

I was thinking wat wud be price of Audi A3 1.4tfsi (140hp) from japan as i have seen couple of A3 in 1.4tfsi engine n 1.8tfsi as well in auction

Sorry it has been decreased but they will adjust it from ur tax.....even i registered prado 4.0 last week

If you dont mind can you tell me for much did you sold ur A4 and for how much did you buy prado (tx or tz or tz-g).
I am also planning to buy a car in this range. i dont like the 2.7 ltr tx as its too basic and nothing special in it except for being a suv but my father dosent want to pay extra and get the 4.0 tz.

few of my friends have rx450h n i have driven it couple of times.....if u like more luxury(more options with panaromic roof) with less space than prado i ll choose rx450h......also its lot cheaper than prado 4.0lt as well n better performance (300bhp) compare to prado 4.0lt (270bhp).....btw duty of hybrid above 1800cc is now 50% not sure but i heard it has been decrease after the budget so the price will be from 5.0-5.5m range if u order now

for prado it was my dad decision as he wanted 7 seaters

Have you seen the facelifted model of rx450h? Its very sexy. You should have a look at its f sport package.It started to come from 2012 ownwards.

Again it all boils down to the budget and personal preferences. I'd still go for a newer 2.7L TX anytime as opposed to a 4.0L TZ. Save some greens for the chull factor later on.

I have 2700cc (160hp) thai vigo n using it for work only......it give around 6-6.5km/L.....prado 2700cc my in law had n some friends have give more worse fuel consumption around 5.5-6km/L due to body weight is much more than vigo n also all time 4wd 4spd auto.....4000cc V6(270hp) prado give 6km/L+ its 5speed auto all time 4wd gus torque n less accelerate below 3k rpm.....but u r right price diff is almost 10-15 lacs even in registration cost but u wont get fun in 2700cc

is the a3 available in the 2.0 tsfi quattro? i see online that version being available abroad... and i see s3 on the site here with that engine, is that an a3 with that engine or an entirely different car? what is the price of that?

sadly no for Pakistan its 1.2TFSI n 1.8TFSI only.....S3 is same chasis as A3 but wit more rigid body as its full time awd (Quattro) with more powerful 2.0TFSI (300bhp) with sport suspension, bigger disc brake n 7 speed S-tronic.....A3 2.0tfsi Quattro is 220bhp
