Since u dont have an external amp, u can skip that part.

Make sure the connections are all ok. this also means the speakers connections via the GRIP to the pre. If the surrounds are ok, the other most common problem is due to dust particles that build up inside the cylindrical area around the tweeter pole fixed in the center of the dustcap. As the spider moves the cone up and down, a grinding noise is what is heard. Either blow into the speaker with ur mouth (if u want to get a face full of dust) or use a blower. Invert the speakers and tap on the magnet is another way.....

I have an old amp that is in working condition...the wiring is still present...power cable and remote cable but i cannot seem to find any grounding cable.
I checked and the speaker wires are directly connected to pre....
how do i connect amp to it???

sir i did as u directed me.. but not get any good results...then i told this problem to the guy from whom i installed player.. he said... your speakers are getting less current, go to some electrician.. and when i go to electrician, after checking he said every thing is fine... now what to do the problem is still there ..??

Grounding isnt an issue since you can simply ground the amp to the nearest metal of the chassis.

however if ur speakers are running from the pre, i dont understand what good ur old amp was for anyways. if you are gonna install a new amp, u need to run the speakers from the amp, not the pre.

if ur not sure about the install, take it to a professional who can help you or take some pictures and post them here. Id suggest you go to haroon radio and ask them to do the install.

there must be a breakup in the wiring or the amp might be shorted.... ur best bet is to take it to a professional and have them check it. haroon radio in karachi is one of the most trusted shops. u can check with them.

btw can u post the model number of the pre here. also since this is a cassette player, are u running a cd changer too?

I have to install a sound system in my passo and i have budget of around 35k which includes each and every thing..

Can you guyz suggest any good system which can be installed...
I would need a head unit, two rear door speakers, maybe two front speakers and a rear view cam....

can i play music without a headunit through my phone connecting 3.5mm to rca connector directly to amp input???? i think it is possible in n series phones with option for line level output but someone please explain how to do it in htc one max.

Short dummy question

Is it possible to run 2 pairs of speakers at different impedances at the same time? For eg. If an amp gives 70x4@4ohms, 100x4@2ohms, can I run a pair at 70w@4ohms and another 100w@2ohms?

which speakers you have? you can run a pair at 4 ohms and other at 2 ohms if you have a 4 channel amp

Yesterday I got installed a basic sound system(i.e: a pre amp, a set of coaxial speakers, and a two channel amplifier). The electrician who installed the system was telling that it is not possible to use the speakers without amplifier and I would always have to keep the amplifier turned on. I was wondering that is there a way I could play music without using the amplifier?

So after getting a heads up from the higher authority (wife) to install a basic sound system in my truck , I tried to do some research before going to purchase something. I had few questions I hope some one can answer a newbie.

My truck is a 2007 Ford F150 XLT, with stock speakers and stock mp3 player, What components I would need.?, I just want a basic system with nice BASSS just for my own use and in minimum budget. I know I would need a custom enclosure, what else.?
What is the difference between a 10" and 12" sub.? coz price difference is not much between the two.
and If I sell my vehicle is this stuff easy to take out right .?
