CCF Application: Kick Panels, Front Inner Fender, ABC Pillars & Rear Wheel Wells

Moving onto the other plastic panels inside the cabin. Heres a look at the footwell kick panels first

I also went ahead and took out the front inner fender shields. These were cleaned out with some APC and Isopropanol before applying the CCF. This was done to block as much of the road noise from the tires at the front of the cabin. The rear wheel Wells were also treated

Same application was done to the A,B,C pillars

Lastly, the rear wheel arches got treated

Stage 1 & 2: Cabin Floor

Started out by taking the interior out including the carpet in its entirety. Took me less than an hour to completely strip the interior. Once that was done, I went ahead and cleaned the floor with some IPA.

Because of time constraints and me wanting this done ASAP, got a little help to put down the Caliber Deadening sheets

Time to pull that Driver seat out again and put down the acoustic CCF followed by the carpet. Almost there, ALMOST THERE, ALMOST.........

BIG4 Upgrade

Since I don't plan on changing the alternator and the battery has been upgraded to 65 Amp, it's critical that there are no restrictions in the flow of current which could deprive the ICE. The ~8 gauge +ve and -ve cables inside the engine bay will be replaced with 5 feet of NVX 1/0 OFC & Connection 1/0 OFC cables

The reason why the NVX cable was chosen is simply because it's the best bang for the buck. It beats the likes of Xscorpion, Stinger Pro, JL Audio, PG, Memphis and Skar Audio on strand count and weight + both the Stinger Pro and Jl Audio cost substantially more. Sundown, DC and Skyhigh all had slightly better strand counts but then again cost quite a bit more per foot. Kicker and RF both get beaten by these three brands, they have almost identical strand count as the NVX but just like the JL Audio cost more than double per foot than any of the other brands mentioned here.

The only cable that had a slightly better count and costs slightly less than the NVX is the Knukonceptz 1/0 cable but unfortunately sonicelectronix doesnt stock them and because I got quite a bit of things from them, it didn't make sense

Funny enough, Soundvalley had a ~5 ft piece of the Audison Connection MP 1/0 tinned ofc cable which has the exact same strand count as the NVX i.e. 4704 strands. The two cables in total of 10 feet were good enough for the big4 upgrade

So here it is, the frosted white NVX 1/0 OFC Cable which will be used for the main run from the alternator to the battery positive

The Connection MP 1/0 Grey wire will be used for the 3 grounding connections in the Big4 upgrade

Power/Ground Wire

AudioSystem Z-PC35R/B 2-Gauge OFC Wire (Made in Germany)

Introducing the main Power/Ground wire which will run from the Battery all the way to the distribution block in the trunk. The AudioSystem Z series 35mm2 (2 Gauge) Hypertwist 100% Oxygen Free Copper High Performance cable. A total of 8 meters of cable will make its way to the car ( 6 meter red power cable / 2 meter black ground cable ). I could have opted for a 1/0 gauge run just like I did with the NVX Big3 wire but calculating the power needs for the amplifiers and the total length of cable needed, the 2 Gauge cable is more than sufficient for this build

It's simple math. A 2 way front component setup + sub stage and you are good to go with a 6 channel output dsp. That being said, I'm still waiting for a few other goodies which includes another dsp. In the mean time, this little badass Italian processor will work just fine

AlexTech Expandable Braided Sleeving

Can we find these in Pakistan especially in lahore??

I'm not sure if you can find the same brands but aliexpress has the same type of fleece tape and braided sleeving from other brands. Most of these are made in china anyways and you can simply just order them from there. Regarding availability in Pakistan or Lahore, I'm not too sure. You'd have to really look around but I doubt anyone stocks these. It's the same old electrical tape being used by everyone

Getting the A-pillars ready. There were a few small imperfections so had to get these sorted out before the a pillars are reupholstered

Also had the A pillars lined with deadener + CCF to minimise unwanted noise which could interfere with the output from the Helix P1 tweeters
