Automatic Vs Manual (Advantages & Disadvantages)

This might be a bit of shochking news but I have read that new cars with auto transmission are better on gas than manual. I am talking about new cars. Not old ones cuz the technology was not applied on old ones. But new ones are now lesst thirstier on gas than manual.

also when going down a hill, I would use my brakes rather than downshiffting cuz then u put more stress on ur clutch and engine, where as if u replace the brakes, it doesnt cost as much as the clutch or engine. Here is an article about the advantages and disadvantages.
