I think, its time to reveal my ride. I didn't feel like making another thread cause i think its just an ordinary altis 1.6 like everybody has plus there are already few threads running, so no need of another one.
selected "autophiles" thread cause i think its The best for altis 1.6 review, so far its pretty simple and very informative as well, plus he gets the credit of giving us free "installation guide for how to install navigation maps":). He has saved us almost 10,000 each.

Anyways sorry for hijacking your thread for only one post :D. just wanna to show you guys few pics of my car while taking delivery. So that you guys can count me in the league of "1.6 happy owners".

I am really thankful to @autophile, @nido747 in changing my mindset from 1.3 A/T to Altis 1.6. After what happened with @Fouadbhakt, I am really satisfied with my decision.

Super white color is a super color for me. Use tinted windows if possible if not then use black shades like me to give more look to the car. Some add on that i did, i will recommend same to you.

1. Chrome Grill. it cost me around Rs 1300/-

2. Fog Lights. I used DLAA fog lights because i need some OEM look like lights in bumper. Used DLAA fog lights in My 2012Gli and didn't find any issue in it for two years. It cost me around Rs 2300/- . You can go some good quality fog lights too like depoo , it will cost you around Rs. 7000/-

3. Security System. i opted two way communication RFID security system with push start. Main reason to go for this system is that i want some thing unique for my car. push start system in corolla is very rare, with this system i am like totally hand free , i put remote in pocket, go near the car, car open automatically, sit in car, press the push button and enjoy my drive then push the button again to switch off the car , open the door and go away from the car and car locks automatically . rest i also has the benefit of two way communication with RFID , if some thing went wrong then my remote start beeping loudly and also show what happen to my car in remote screen. it cost me around 32k

4. Seat covers and full floor matting.It cost me total Rs 7000/-. though i was not in favor of seat cover and floor matting but my father insisted so i have no option. To me one should enjoy company fitted seat cover and floor rather then to leave this enjoyment for the next owner.

5.Rear bumper lava lights. cost me Rs 1500/- . Again looks unique and elegant for me.

I have a plan for more add on. will share it once i install them,.

But other option is to keep your car stock like autophile ride to avoid noises and wear and tear(i am not getting though) but if you opt to keep it stock then not even a single add on other wise pura maza b nai aye ga aur aik add on say b masala nikal sakta hai.

Used Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer spray after wash with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss with two-bucket method. The satin like shine is still there since Friday evening.

No they don't. Mud flaps kay saath bhee dirt aatee ha, so I am better without them. Have you seen any JDM with mudflaps btw ?

brother have seen them in some rides and they come as an add on, both in terms of looks and utility.

Can you please share what did you do to the key cylinder? I mean is it still there or removed? And the steering lock?

What puzzles me the most about this RFID thing is the remote being supplied by a friggin jack knife key... What is the key for if everything is keyless and smart?

Okay for mechanical back up I assume, as in most good cars with the keyholes hidden underneath covers, but in that case did you get the key supplied with the RFID made for your car?

If mechanical backup is needed, does the ignition cylinder work?

brother thanks alot for giving lot of usefull tips. right now i would like to keep my car totally stock, like @autophile.
but first thing in my list right now is a front chrome grill. thanks for sharing the price, i will check with the local market as soon as possible. have no plans of putting seat covers, thinking of enjoying the stock covers, will wash them if they ever get dirty.
have a plan for RFID system but after few months right now short of funds so nothing else is going to be installed any time soon:P.

pretty happy with my decision though, really enjoying a powerfull and latest engine from toyota. inshallah we will not regret our decision.

wanna to ask if anyone of you has changed the tires yet? atleast am not happy with euro-stars. i feel like they are a bit noisy and bouncy or may be i have to live with it. don't know yet.

atleast now i don't feel deprived, while seeing civic 9th generation or a grande cause i have more or less the same car.
guys am not saying that 1.3 A/T is a bad car, its perfectly alright. It runs well and serves the purpose but you need to drive altis 1.6 before buying 1.3A/T.
When you sit in Altis 1.6, It feels like you are sitting in a different world. the feeling of having a full package car with almost all the goodies "grande" has, . . .

Altis 1.6 is a Gli with just a changed engine. No comparison to grande. Infact in previous generation, it was called 1.6 Gli.
Grande has a lot lot more to offer as compared to 1.6
Altis 1.6 has old transmission as compared to grande's latest CVTi transmission
No paddle shifters in 1.6
old 1.6 engine vs new 1.8 2ZR-FE engine.
Other differences are as under:
No Fog lights in 1.6
Different Instrument cluster
6 Reading lights in cabin in grande
Rear reclining seats in grande
Height adjustable front seats in grande
Android based infotainment system in grande. Also the speakers are more in number
Sun roof in grande
Rain sensing vipers
Multimedia steering controls

brother thx for your reply but how did you find my review biased? I didn't compare 1.6 with grande. why would i, obviously it belongs to a different level.
i just said that 1.6 has same color(frost white) same OEM rims as "grande" has and it has got company fitted navi although its not like grande but its still there plus it has back view camera as well bigger and far more better and advance engine than GLI A/T.
So it feels good to have a full package car in this price range.
outside look is almost same as grande. It just feels good like you are driving grande with good powerful engine with all the goodies in it.
where did i say that its like grande? seriously..
by the way where did you find that 1ZRFE is an old engine? as far as i know 1ZRFE and 2ZRFE belongs to the same family with different CC or whatever. I am not that technical but at-least that's what Wikipedia says.
obviously transmission in "grande" is totally different and advance.
just wanna to clear your mind i didn't compare 1.6 with grande just expressed the feeling, how i felt while sitting init.

I got it from Heera brother baoo muhalla rawalpindi. At first i was thinking to have DRLs too but elegance of the car will be compromised for that. I had DRLs in my civic 2014 but i switched it ON only few times from its installation. Altis is for my father so i want some OEM look not too much fancy .

Key cylinder has been totally bypassed . yes it is there but has no use.

For steering lock i inserted a permanent key and cut off its head and covered the ignition with a cap.

Jack knife key is only for personal satisfaction or you can say for emergency. No use at all .. but for emergency i keep it with me.

RFID key is programmed with your car and security system. you need to first programmed it with the system before use.

Ignition switch will work only if you remove this system and undo all installation .

thanks for the reply, i got it fixed. actually after taking the delivery, i bought and put down the plastic mats on the carpet ones. after that i started feeling as if something is not right with the paddle. it wasn't that bad but still not the same.
after inspecting the paddle, i came to know that there is sensor right behind the paddle, from their i figured it out that i have blocked some space behind the paddle, although it might be in centimeters but still it can effect the cars acceleration.
so i did a diy and now i am back to a proud owner of corolla altis 1.6(little grandeee):P.

I have cut the mat from both sides, so it wont disturb the paddle and the footrest as well.

Anyways pictures shows the rest.

You are right brother. I folded the plastic mat instead of cutting it and now I do not feel any lag which I was thinking due to DBW and AT.

I will also tell my friend to remove plastic mats in his 10th Gen manual Corolla because he also complained about problems with accelerator pedal.

Good to hear that but as far as I know, it should not effect manual Corolla cause it's accelerator pedal doesn't have a sensor at the back..
