Can anyone share the fuel average of Altis 1.6. Actual fuel average.

In city congested traffic, I get 11.5 to 12 with full on AC. So far driven 4,300 kms, no long route yet.

But i am getting 8.5 km/l to 9.5 km/l max in city with light foot....average speed of 50kmph
On long route with average reset i got 13 km/l to 15km/l..average speed to 120 to 140 kmph

The problem with slow speeds is that car remains in lower grears that's why consumes more fuel.

The problem with slow speeds is that car remains in lower grears that's why consumes more fuel.

1st and 2nd gear gulp fuel like no tomorrow in most cars.

For automatics, the best steady state fuel consumption occurs at the speed when the torque converter can maintain full lockup in overdrive. Partial lockup in overrdrive or direct drive is also good.

Anyone hear a squeaking sound from gloves box on a rough road? If I leave it open then no sound what so ever, Specifically the 1.6 owners.

Today I took a test drive of gli automatic at showroom and must say it's superb, light nd boosted acceleration whenever needed,
This clears my misconception that gli auto is underpowered (it is definitely not)
I had booked Altis 1.6, now will sell it in market and book a gli auto for my self

Who told you that? It's not some super car. All cars except formula one cars can be driven in congested city drive and 1.6 dual vvti is very silent responsive.

Try to get a test drive of 1.6 then you can compare the both, Otherwise later you might regret your decision.

paa jee you wont hear any noise on rough roads cause you are driving on euro Stars and they handle bumps and pot holes easily.
So you are out of this league lol.

@nido747 On the multimedia unit the aux slot cover says AV in. I was thinking that a front cam may be hooked here, so there will not be any need to open the dash. What do you say?

Yes Cover has written AV in but i have doubts . I will install Front cam soon then i will let you in detail

Sir i am confused. i will install front cam for sure but i am thinking to install steering controls too (which has both side buttons) and will give signal to front cam from one of the steering control button to get an ease. It is a bit tedious to first click to main screen, go to the menu, scroll to next page then click to AV in icon . I know my father wont do that and front cam is then no use.

There is a mode button on steering controls which will serve my purpose. It will give the signal to AV in port and front cam will start operating.

Hi all,
Manual says first oil should be changed at 5000 km. Shouldn't we change the first oil bit earlier due to initial wear and tear ?

No Sir , I didn't find any input there. I tried. Also You cannot use AUX as AV in because it only takes Audio in, no video signal can be given to it. Installed Front cam today. Will share the details in a while. By the way not satisfied with front cam and i also ripped off my car
